That was great! I couldn’t work out how the two bags fitted together…I’m a visual learner so watching you work really helped me. Cheers from England xxx
I love your style of teaching how to make this bag!! I don’t need to watch someone sewing on their machine on every seam over and over unless they are showing an unusual tip or technique!! Great video and making this bag very soon( maybe tonight😁)!
I've made 2 of these now. The second one is my favorite. I did the Raiders on one side and the 49ers on the other side. 1 of a kind bag (at least where I live) I love it
I love your video you make it seem so simple which it is. But I like to put tabs on the ends of the zippers. It makes it easier than the sewing across the zipper because I’m usually taking my zipper off a roll. And I like the finished look. But wonderful video thank you.
I love the way you take a fairly complicated bag and go step by step. After watching the assembly we can do it, pausing each step while we construct it piece by piece. Great gifts for any young lady with a phone or to wear to school for a little necessities purse. I'd like to make several for gifts. Thanks!
Great instructions! I watched another tutorial on this bag (minus the center pouch) and the instructions were very confusing. Love the center pouch with the snap closure. Very cool! Can't wait to make one. Thanks, Lorrie!
You're an excellent teacher! Thanks for this. I plan to make one in two different fabrics (a print and a solid) and keep a clean face mask or two in one side, and used mask(s) in the other. The center pocket for hand sanitizer and/or wipes and I'm good for all day in the big city in a pandemic! (BTW, using 2 diff fabrics is about the only thing that might make your tutorial even clearer).
These are fabulous! You teach so well, though I miss seeing you as befone, since you began your new style of presentation. I like your zip method, I find I get a lump sometimes when youre told to fold the teeth of zip towards the right side, but I will try your little fold up- you are the only one I've seen doing that and I watch a LOT of tutorials!! Thanks again Lorrie ☺️
I love this bag, you instructions are great. I have a question, could you box the corners on the outside bags? Thank You for sharing your time, and your talent with all of us.
So beautiful and useful pouch, thanks for your great tutorials 🙏 I really want to learn more from you. Hope you and your family will be safe and peaceful during the hard time!
Thanks. Lorrie, for the great video. With your excellent instructions, I enjoyed making this pouch. I even changed it up a bit by adding zipper tabs as you showed how to do in your Katie Bow Clutch video. I plan on making that one next! Thanks again for all the great videos you put together and share. You truly have a talent with sewing creations!
I love your video. Would you please reply as to exactly where I would attach a card slot pocket. I'm making the larger cross body bag. Thank you for your input.
I'm new to your channel but your bag stuck out in my feed because my name is Brinkley. I love the bag and intend to make a few. Thanks for a great tutorial.
Lorrie Thank you so much for this tutorial I have arthritis in my joints and my elbows and wrist are starting to really bother me. I’ve recently purchased a cross body purse. But the bigger it is the more we woman carry lol. This is perfect to hold a phone and wallet for a trip to the grocery store or craft store for sure. 😂❤️
I made two of the larger ones with no problems at all thanks to your great instructions. As usual, you had an easy to follow tutorial. I only wish you included the crossbody strap in your video.
I made this a few days ago and am really proud and pleased (I am a very new sewist)! The only thing that didn't work great for me were the horizontal tabs for the d rings. Mine is pretty floppy and off-kilter, even though I attached one to each side of the bag, as Lorrie teaches. Does anyone know if a video or other instruction that teaches how to make the d ring tabs vertical? I have no clue how to do it with the zipper and all. I would love to hear from anyone with an idea on this (including Lorrie if she is reading this)! Forgive the dumb question...like I said, I am a newbie 😊. Lorrie, you are an EXCELLENT teacher. I made your triangle pouch, too, and was able to give it as a gift.
I ordered some D rings and square and rectangle rings, to try them out. But the D rings were out of stock. I haven't tried the square and rectangular rings yet, but I think they look very stylish. Also, it occurs to me that the squares could be sewn into the sides , like she did here with the D rings, then the top side of the square could have the shoulder or crossbody strap attached. Using a wider ring, I intend to make a wider snap and attach with my Kam snaps.
Wow, once again I'm super impressed and motivated to make one. I sell real estate, and this would be perfect for carrying cell phone, business cards, and other small items needed when showing homes. I'd want a cross-body though, so will probably have to swipe a strap off another bag. 😁 Really excited about this though... Maybe I can even personalize it with Cricut! And what great gifts these would make!
What length x width did you cut for the crossbody strap? Thanks. Good job. I am so proud of you. But I come from sewing for 50 years so I love seeing you doing this.
Do you think this same style bag could be done using placemats? I know it would have unfinished edges inside, but might be kind of neat? Or maybe use the placemats for the pretty side pieces, skipping the interfacing step and still using a lining?
Thankyou for a great well explained video, look forward to making some. I'm doing my first craft fayre and would just like to know how much you would sell them for. Thanks from Jo in the UK 😊
Thanks for the great tutorial! I have a double pouch purse I bought that needs replacing. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a new one, but now I think I need to make one! Do you think it would be easy to add some extras like a zipper pocket and credit card slots?
M Box the purse I already have? It’s about 9” by 6” (plus the depth). It’s the perfect small bag. It’s big enough to fit what I need and has inside pockets with card slots, so I don’t have to pack my big wallet.
@@periwinklebutterfly I would love to know if you ever managed to make this with the smaller pockets and such. I have a bag like this with all the extras that needs replacing but I just can't find a bag that has all of the compartments that I like.
@@AnonymousAmyMakes I haven’t, but I have a free pattern that I found that includes an internal zipper pocket and CC slots, so I might just reference that.
Lorrie, your Cricut rotary cutter looks like it works great. I have 2 different sizes of the Cricut rotary cutters & neither of them cut worth a flip!!! They skip & never cut a smooth edge. Any suggestions for what I can do to make them work better?
You said it could be made any size, so I chose 9x6. I’ve followed the whole video (which is very well done!) to the point where you draw lines for the middle pouch, but you made one that’s 10x8. I’m horrible at math- where should I mark the lines for 9x6?😵💫
Hi Lorrie. What step would it be If I want to add a magnetic snaps for the inside pocket . Would the snaps go on the outside fabrics that meet on the inside of the bag ?. I hope this makes sense Thanks, Susan
Susan Brown you would need to add the snaps to the panels before you see it together. It would be the same panels that you attach together but you’d want the back of the snaps to be between your lining and outer fabric. Does they make sense? It would be the same panels as we did the Kam snaps but instead of going through the lining - you’d just go through the outer fabrics
This is exactly what I was trying to figure out. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. Much appreciated! 😊

What a beautiful tutorial. One of the best instructors I’ve seen. Will definitely be following her.👍

I am new to making bags and have never sewn a zip but I think this bag would be easy enough to make for my sister. I absolutely love it

Thank you for your detailed and easy to follow instructions. My first try turned out so well.
How can you add a gusset around the 2 bags with d rings on the side for the strap? Anyone??
Your instructions are spot on! Thank you so much for this fabulous double bag... I am heading to my sewing space right now to make one.
I had fun making this pouch. Thank you for the tutorial!
Thanks Lorrie for a great video. Will make nice Christmas gifts and you made it look so easy. Can’t wait to start!

Finished mine today. So pretty, but I should have used fleece interfacing a little wobbly but I love it.
Great tutorial - easy to understand - lovely fabrics :)

This is great except what interfacing did you use in this bag, when I go to show more, it shows 3 different interfacings?
I love how you did the wrist strap!
Very well explained. Cute bag!
Love the bag Lorrie. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

Love this bag! I need to buy more material. Yours always looks so cute! Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you. I loved making this bag.
I bought a Tumi bag in this style that is falling apart and I was worried about replacement - easy now - I can make one...thank you!
How long would you suggest the strap for over the body be?
Clever bag. Great instructions. Thanks
Thanks I made a bigger one and a smaller one today !! ❤

I did this bag using cork, a lot more difficult to turn. But I love the bag, Thanks Lorrie
Just made this bag and love it!
Awesome video. I’m addict.... I’ll have to make some of these.
Great video. Great for Christmas gifts
Very clear instruction thank you. I will definitely give this a go.💕

Love this bag! I will definitely have to give it a try!
Great tutorial so want to make this thank you

Be sure and take a pic and post.. tag me so I can see your version!
Nice left over layer cake piece project. Thanks
Hi Lorrie. Thanks for this tutorial. What size are the d rings your using please? Xx

I really like this bag. Thank you

Love this bag
I made your triangle pouch. I was wondering how you were going to do the double bag. Love your instructions. Can't wait to make this one.
Can this bag be made with a single zipper closure?
Here says 2x15’” for the handle, but when I opened the link there says 3x15”
Can you make this having the two pouches different sizes?
You said it could be made any size, so I chose 9x6. I’ve followed the whole video (which is very well done!) to the point where you draw lines for the middle pouch, but you made one that’s 10x8. I’m horrible at math- where should I mark the lines for 9x6?😵💫
Love it
What are the finished size for each bag?
Well done! Thank you for sharing
Brilliant
so i have this place mat and it is double sided can i still use this method? If that makes sense..
cool and inspirational
Which interfacing to use?

What size D rings and lobster hooks? 3/4”?.
I am not familiar with the snaps. Where can I find these?
Hi There...you can find the snaps at any craft store...Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, JoAnn's. Happy Shopping!
Hi, what is the measurement for this bag?
Got it
Lovely bag. What’s the strap length for the crossover bag please? Can’t wait to make this.
Thank you for sharing i can't wait to make this bag. your instructions are very easy to follow.
