Today is Debbie’s 9th Yahrtzeit. I honour her memory by sharing her work with my young son.

After listening to this song, with her live at Carnegie, it occurs to me that Debbie Friedman was like the Joan Baez of Jewish folk music.
Peter Yarrow eulogized Debbie Friedman as the Mary Travers of the American Jewish world!

My favorite verzion of oseh shalom RIP Debbie Friedman
have been in the hospital last year over 60 times and have now been in the hospital severely I'll for the last 30 days. I play her Mi Shiberach video and it gives me the strength to carry on.

I, too, recall a fabulous CAJE Conference at Stanford, long ago, that featured EVERYONE joining in singing this with Debbie. What an amazing event!
