    I had one of those.
By far the best walk behind rototiller ever made on the planet!!!!!
They were selling for around $10,000 when they finally stopped making them.

Our machine had not run for years but swung over in 3-4 minutes after checking her over. Now, as the business collapses in on itself and the land is down to trees, glasshouse will become something else, the Gem will go to another place and some more work.

Great vid Sir, seems the gems had many different engines, I have one with a kohler 500cc aircooled engine.
There was a v twin, the hatz diesel, twin wisconsin, and more I think. Is your one the hatz ?

Yes they have come with many engines. Another model of engine that was only available in Malta was the 12hp Sachs air-cooled version. Many thanks for your nice comment.

Anyone use a Howard 700? We used to have one even more adaptable than the Gem. Take off the rotator section and install a grader. Always a more forgiving machine to work with than the Gem, particularly in tight spaces when inside a glasshouse

I viewed some 700 but never actually used one myself. They look more heavy duty then the Gem?

Many thanks, the one I have to restore has a Kholer engine on it. Otherwise the same. Hope you have a good Christmas.
