My sister came to me one day 20+ years ago and said you have to hear this! We lost her last year, now anytime I hear this song, it helps me remember the good times. R.I.P Tara, we love and miss you dearly.
Exactly ! Discovered on a such "free" radio in 1983. Note that this performance is very closed of the (first) album version (not the extended one, of course)
The irony is I finished high school in 1984 and I thought this album was the one of the sexiest things I’ve ever heard. I bought the entire album just for this song. Here almost 40 years later I’ve seen it played live for the first time.
Ann Dudley is a musical genius .She has done all the string arrangements for pretty much everyone . One of my favourite songs ever Viva Forever by the Spice Girls has her finger prints all over it . The string arrangements on Viva Forever sound like heaven.
I discovered this song on the radio as my wife went into labor with our 3rd child at around 2am on a weekday and we drove to the hospital…one of those songs that stays with you forever that’s for sure.
Wow! for sure Heard version once on a Canadian radio station at night, it went on for hours with a women with a sensual voice doing a monologue all the way through it. Loved it when I was 14, am 54 now still do. Like the dub bit in this live peice Wow weeeee Art of Noise
I am still on a journey…. Moments in love had such an effect on me as a young kid in Belgium, the feeling of spreading my wings out, opening my eyes to this wide new world, knowing there were other things I wanted to explore… this is still a song that fills me with emotion and wonder… thanks so much to this amazingly talented group of musicians that were involved with so many artists and songs… moments in love forever…
I remember the first time I Heard this song back in 2005 on my daughter's cd it's a beautiful song I was pregnant but lost my Baby but I had a rainbow baby in 2010 and when I heard this song on the cd I just knew the baby from 2005 was a Angel...
Introduced to AoN in 1984 and instantly became a fanatic. Thank you for the music Art of Noise put out to the world. Moments in Love has to be my all time favorite of slow romantic songs. You folks truly are artists with a gift.
My uncle introduced me to the art of noise back in the early 80’s and the first song I heard was their beat box jam. However, he’d play this song all day ever day ad nauseam, then I just grew to absolutely love it! I’m in my 40’s now and I’d definitely say it greatly defined the soundtrack of my young life. It’s on my daily work music play list. Thax for making me remember great memories by making such an impactful and timeless song.
During the 1980s, I was in my teenage years and early 20s. God I miss those days. I also miss many of the people I knew at the time. I also wish music these days could 'engage' me as much as that era did. Beautiful. I always see/hear/feel this song as a soundtrack to a movie that's playing in slow-motion.
This is sincerely my favorite song of all time. And then when I found out it was released in the year I was born in after I fell in love with it, just made it all the more special.
please listen to this variation : th-cam.com/video/PSAVVGU3Dqc/w-d-xo.html, a remix made my AoN themselves (called Piano mix) .. Their best version IMO ;)
Into Battle was such a complete piece of electronic music architecture when it was released, people thought I was mad listening to it when it came out.
"they were the turning point in electronic music..Kraftwerk was busy with their Computer World tour so they was no new material from them and Art of Noise was a breath of fresh air musically ✌"
Amazing!!! Absolutely amazing!!! After all these years that song Still hits hard and good... I always use it to relax my time and also use it as a form of quiet storm slow jamming music... Especially if I'm depressed or just want to go to sleep, let alone take a nap...
My friend in high school put me down on Art of noise circa 1986. Close to the edit was it for me but moments in love is still my fav. The beaten version is immaculate.
I discovered Art of Noise at the used vinyl record store (aptly named Flat Black and Circular) while attending Michigan State University around 1982, as I flipped through the myriad of bins full of records. I would then proceed to one of the two comfy "stuffed" chairs adorned appropriately with a pair of headphones for each chair, to listen. I immediately knew they were artsy, avante garde and different from anything I had listened to in prior years since age 8, when my mother had bought Cat Stevens, Tea for the Tillerman for my birthday. I was breast fed on piano sounds in the home, as my mother played a Baldwin parlor grande piano she inherited from her mother, constantly in our home ! : ) Well, to make a long story short, it's so nice to finally see Art of Noise in the flesh, as I have never seen who these wonderfully creative people have been all these years ! Thank you for the voyage to where no musical artists have taken us before into the far reaches of the rhythms of the universe (or universes, possibly).
She is most of the most underrated musicians of last 30 years. But those who listens her music truly appreciate Anne Dudley’s talent. She is the genius behind Tom Jone’s come back song “Kiss”.
I love you this theme...
My sister came to me one day 20+ years ago and said you have to hear this! We lost her last year, now anytime I hear this song, it helps me remember the good times.
R.I.P Tara, we love and miss you dearly.

I would be hurting real bad

If there was only one piece of music I could listen to for the rest of my life...
I totally agree. It needs to be put on a space probe on repeat to be sent out into our galaxy. It would still be out there after the earth was gone.

This song will never stop being incredible. Such a strong foundation laid for the future and the EDM child.
EDM is nowhere near them. Their wannabees.
Lmao better look up the Chicago house era.
Mo in Love came out around about the same time when Chicago House was birthed
This will never get old, no matter how old it is. Pure lifetime classic!!!
