We Fought the Law and the Law Won - Conway's Law

Conway's law says systems, software and wetware, end up shaped like the organizational structure that designed them or that they are designed for.
I have yet to see a place where this hasn't been true. I have seen several organizations argue that they are superior to their competitors and do not have the same limits. It may be true for smaller organizations where everything important can be known by a small number. It never seems to be true for more mature organizations.
Organizations understand this at some level and many of the re-organizations are driven around trying to change the corporate structure to align to the desired outcome. Their other option is to work inside their organizational structure making use of or at least accepting they way their systems operate.
