Roland, thank you for having this conversation.
Thank you for your courage, Roland Martin. This information is vital to sustainability.
Thank you Roland! Yes organizing & persistence is so vital! I'm sure back in the original freedom movements not everyone was on board as well as there were moles - HOWEVER the ones that persisted with strategy made change happen that benefited all of us. God Bless them, you and those of us that organize and persist for what is good for all of us.
Appreciate your leadership re development of a plan. 👏🏾👍🏽
Let GOD use you Roland.
Thank you for initiating Wisdom.
YOU BETTER PREACH ROLAND
YES BROTHER ROLAND. AND THAT, IS ASHAME.
Roland, my white female friends are standing w me in boycotting Target, Amazon & are buying from minority only businesses!!! I got my then calling me all the time asking me where to buy things from bcuz I only buy black anyway. I would only use Target or Walmart if I was rushing for Christmas. But it’s not fair to the black owned businesses that are sold in Target & Walmart. I’m glad you showed that sister who sells her many products in Target & Walmart. We need to re-think this ban. I will be talking to my black & white girlfriends abt this! Thank you for guiding us thru this. Love you Unc Ro!
You have any white friends! Whenever they are not around you, they revert back to who they really are. When they go to the country club with mom and dad that’s when they are who they really are, haven’t you been paying attention. They probably voted for Trump and you’ll never know.
Someone should release a list of all these products these stores has that’s black owned so this movement can have maximum effect!
Sometimes if ppl know more they will stand for better.
I took the time to see this last night, and it's best to have a well thought out boycott and count the costs here. I thank you for the time you took to say this.
Thanks!
I live in canada .. I can count how many times I see a Chinese family at McDonalds .. they support their local business and it has allowed them to scale to large supermarkets where they shop . Why are persons of African background not doing the same .. we have to start thinking folks and building folks .
I'm with that!! Let's do this Roland!!
Thank you for explaining BREAD BASKET. They don't do what you explain where I lived
ROLAND, I chatted with Sam's club online to find out how to cancel my membership. I let the rep know that I'm going to Costco and boycotting Walmart due to their DEI cancellation. Later I received an email asking how the rep from "El Salvador" did. That was unbelievable! They are giving other countries jobs, but claim to be American.
Thanks Roland for calling all these people of color out that's a good question WHERE ARE THEY AT?
Facts Martin
I understand how we as black people feel about the DEI subject. However, we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted and destroy those of us who are in business. So I would suggest buying only the black business products from that store. Or create a job for yourself as a sales person, blogger, storage vendor, etc. for that company. Don't kill the dream, be apart of the team.
Can we organize and receive instructions by means of prerecorded webinars? Giving the viewer a choice of the time of day they are available to watch it.
Is there a wholly owned Black distribution company where our products are stored and shipped as Amazon does. It may be slow at start but will build up over time as long as prices are reasonable along with shipping. Just curious and asking?
Great video, broke it down real good ❤
YES BROTHER ROLAND, "WHERE YOU AT"!!!!!!!!
Dont know if anyone was wondering but that confederate flag is BACK! Full strength. I was just down there yesterday.
It never really left..South Carolina always kept the flag up at full staff.
was i the only one to notice that target had"Merry Christmas" all thru the store bc they were desperate. Thru usually just have happy holidays. I worked in retail and understood the marketing and knew they were catering to selected groups.
We need to prove to ourselves that we have the power when we come together collectively. I have put forth an idea that I initially heard about on another TH-cam channel. I put it forth here because I wanted it to be seen by those that has the platform to get organized and mobilized. I sent a text message to my small family about boycotting ALL non-Black owned businesses on a specific day of the week each and every week from here into perpetuity if necessary. I'm realistic enough to know that there are going to be naysayers among us, but we have enough of us that believe in our power. No Black Dollars, Wednesday. Roland I know you have the capability to bring those together that have the knowledge as to how to implement this movement. This IS NOT a trend that's being forth this is a necessity for our survival. I have said for years, that given the chance, there are Caucasians amongst us, who would see Black folks enslaved. They would like us to do what our enslaved ancestors did, which is to build wealth for them.
Show us the way Roland
I love the content you bring with facts, style, talent, and motivational speech Roland 💯💯
Think about it this way. Why cant we get more than just black people to boycott Target. Surely the DEI policy dont just benefit black folks. It benefits everyone. So they need to help too! This is NOT just our fight! And frankly as all black people im tired of holding down the fort all alone lol.
Many latinos are doing the boycott too
Is there anyone in VA that is taking the lead on the boycott
That was the Black United Front, led by iris rolley here in the Cincinnati boycott
I don’t shop at Target anyway. But I would be glad to stop Walmart also.
Hello Mr Martin, would it be possible for you to provide your audience, with a list of the Black Owned Co. on your web site? If you can, therefore we can save or print it in supporting those companies with wealth, and also for knowledge and support of what is happening in today. Thank you
I already decided to do a no spend February.
Please dont just skip though, these are note taking 17:23, 23:37 ... watch the entire show entirely. This show is very important.

28:42 Target Corp
Roland, thank you. Can you please tell us where we can get the list of products sold at target? Thanks
No he can't. Representative Nina Turner can, she already did. He just talks loud and says nothing.
Roland explains DEI in a way even the dumb of dumbest would understand! Run for Gov Roland!!!
He's full of crap. Representative Nina Turner did this when the subject came up. Roland Martin tells you to jump, you jump.
Can I use My Credit Card to provide a Monthly Automatic Payment?
Great job Roland always ❤
Please do t boycott the black products in these retail outlets . Please let’s not shoot ourselves in the foot . Let’s get creative and start to invest in the community coming together to scale .. we have to pool our resources €£$$$ to scale folks ..
I wont be buying Nothing! I dont even shop there or Walmart lmao
Let me get this straight: y’all talking about not shopping at Walmart, which imports most of its general merchandise from China, but all yall on TH-cam and it’s owned by a Chinese man ? STFU
y’all sound uneducated asf.
Brother Martin please don’t assume that people watching you don’t know who Dr King was and what he stood for. I understand the issues facing these businesses who have pushed back on DEI. However, I will not shop at Target because that’s my choice. I will not shop at Walmart because that’s my choice. I will not shop at Lowe’s or eat at McDonalds because that’s my choice. It’s my money and my choice. I pray for the best for the Black Owned businesses being affected and I hope they find viable solutions. However, I don’t agree with shopping at those businesses and I won’t. The only thing that makes people take notice is a hole in their pockets. So don’t make assumptions about what people know.
Right. My intention is that, to the best of my ability, I’m not spending a dime with a business that goes against my values like this. And I’m always looking to support as much black businesses as I can.
But there is a Generation that is LOST! He needs to educate some People about Dr. King economics. In Our Race we have African Americans
that do have a clue. They were raised with their White Friends and Athlete Buddies they have never faced RACISM to NOW!. Their Parents and Guardians did not prepare them for this time. So Speak Brother Roland!
I agree that some of us need to be educated about the society we live in. The state we are in as a people is definitely challenging. However, when we make assumptions about people’s lack of knowledge in our community it sends the wrong message. Im disturbed that there are so-called “Black conservatives” making jokes about our lack of togetherness and inability to organize as well. So, I’m not attacking our brother, I just want him to temper his language. Peace and Blessings.
Nobody is perfect, which is one reason it pained people to see Confederate statues tore down. In our imperfection, there is good to be found and good to appreciate because ultimately we are one. We are all United States citizens. MLK JR like anyone did sone things that can't possibly be condoned, but that's not why people celebrated him. It was for the positive sides of what he was trying to get at. We should try to be nicer to each other and remember that when we attack each other, there are people on the sidelines smiling because their tactic is winning.
Im talking about black owned.
Restrictive Covenants?
Wow, you’re finally saying what I’ve been saying about the natives, where tf are they? Oh I did see one woman speaking out but only after Trump started in on their rights to citizenship. But they are always seem to be MIA.
We can’t even get #1
Black businesses first then and then?!?! Right?
So stay with a company that doesn't support DEI businesses... because you may lose money, got it...
It has nothing to do with black brands. These companies are just too small physically, & financially to fill thousands of shelves across the country daily. Hard to compete with Fortune 500 venders running much smaller margins, & lastly China. Good luck (ever) taking shelf space from PepsiCo Inc, Tyson Foods Inc, General Mills Inc, Kraft Heinz Co, Mars etc., etc…

You should have been identifying that before you started talking Crap. Representative Nina Turner already did that fool.
