Every year this vessels get more and more high tech. Yet unlike 20-30 years ago higher tech doesn't mean harder to understand. These boats are so easy to sail. It's truly amazing. When will they produce one that can be easily sailed single handed? The leaps and bounds these things change is just incredible. BTW , another great video Toby. It must be hard walking through all of these brand new world class vessels and not be able to take one for a month or two with your family.
IF I had 6 million to spend, the interior layout would look a lot different. A lot of crew space and main cabin would have been better aft surely. Still, I don't have 6 million and if I did I guess I could have what I wanted. Great to see bigger yachts though. Thanks Toby.
Awesome, boat with some excellent features, I imagine the performance will be stunning. The crew accommodation could be slightly better and more space for toys, love the electric custom tender. I would sacrifice some of the saloon for a greater reduction in draft, some wonderful anchorages / protected / close to shore require minimal draught. A lifting keel mechanism bringing the keel up to or beyond the deck level would open up some even more special places.
one day we came back home into harbor, there was a massive mast taller then the usual boats. when we came through the harbor entry we saw this beautiful carbon yacht. it was a Y7. i was a bit baffled, because we normally don't get boat's like that in Denmark.
Toby - have them order you a couple different ND filters to pop over the camera lens, that will "drag" the shutter speed and solve your flickering problem.
90ft boat with 3 cabins? I'm down the TH-cam rabbit hole of boats. Not sure if this is 2 or 3 non crew cabins without backing back the video. This is a piece of art of a boat.
Y are beautiful. The leather shoe string pulls are a unique touch on a yacht where everything is so 'refined'. How are you choosing the yachts you are presenting?
He's the main person who reviews these boats. He basically has access to any and all that he wants from what I've seen. The thing about this particular channel I like, is he isn't walking around other people at the boat show, he has exclusive use while he's doing his review. Yachting World has been around for years, so respectfully so........ And I love that he isn't afraid of reviewing 30ft sailboats. Like at all. The best YT new sailboat channel. I wish I could pick his brain about what he would buy. New or used....
@@helimx Agreed! Toby is is undoubtedly the best in class in this genre. Smooth, professional, genuine, knowledgeable are a few words that come to mind when I watch the presentation. Again though, im curious how he chooses the feature or if YW chooses for him.
@@basicinfoplaybook Thank you for the supportive words, that's really encouraging. Basically, I aim to try and show all the new yacht launches from the main shows I attend. We cover them in our New Yachts pages in Yachting World, and whenever possible I will feature video tours from shows or from sail trials
agree - definitely a "sign of the times" at least the solar bimi is less offensive than the solar-panel racks thats becoming so prevalent on so many current boats
Wow a 90' ft sailboat that doesn't look like just an overstretched out 30' yacht. That whole stairs, galley, salon, nav station, bedroom, then engine access under the stairs, amd 2 bedrooms aft with wet heads. That always looks tacky and without thought. This, was actually designed with functionality in mind and flows well
I think we have found the vessel we want for our winter retreat. Only concern is the 15ft drought and it's in ability to use in the Bahamas or limited use there. Wonder how she does in the North Atlantic around the Faroe Islands and the wind/seas come together at the far end of Sumba?
Absolutely astonished that you were sailing in a Wind Farm area. Absolutely no-go for any ships, let alone a sailing yacht. Not your problem Toby, just shocked 😮
@@angela1984a Hi Angela, look at the video at the 40 second point. You will see the yacht sailing within 100 meters of the rotating wind generator blades and this to the windward side. Wind is frequently unpredictable, and as you will also see, the yacht mast is much higher than the lowest point of the rotating blades. I don't know which country's waters this was filmed in, but here in Europe, you're not allowed to sail anywhere near a wind-farm. let alone through the middle of it. One mistake and your mast would be ripped off, blades destroyed and millions worth of damage, not to mention the potential loss of life...
I would just live in the aft "crew quarters" around the galley and charter everything from there forward. Yea, own the boat ~ be the boat. Maybe 20,000. euro's a week? To go ~ anywhere you want. Or maybe $10.000 a week out of Port Townsend, Washington. Now that would be something.
Looks beautiful and clearly a lot of thought has gone into her. Oddly I was not impressed by the master cabin, and thought that the VIP guest suite was rather better! But very nice, nonetheless.
Flickering LEDS tells me that they're not being powered properly. LEDs are DC devices, but people often power them with with a step-down transformer from an AC source, and omit the capacitors that should smooth out the supply voltage.
90 feet but only two guest cabins?! This is primarily just a family cruiser then I guess? One more double or VIP cabin would be nice on this size yacht I think....
You think this is awful, check out Beneteau's new 60. In the official video presentation / unveiling, it folded up so awkwardly that the camera panned away super quick. Plus, the frame for it is an absolute eyesore, not to mention obstruction.

Thank you Keith. And yes, wouldn't that be nice...!!
That fixed Bimini and solar is the highlight of this boat
Impressive!! And what an amazing interior design, Y Yacht is pretty talented!
Toby you always bring the best of the best. What a yacht. Wow, she’s a beauty.
Thank you @bos6782 ! I had a sail on this recently so look out for the sailing version coming soon
neat and fresh design. must be so much fun to sail this beauty

Love this yacht. Big fan of this channel. Look how amazing this vessel is really. 3 crew? What a blast
Love this.

Doesn't that fixed bimini change the sailing characteristics of the boat?

Quite uncommon having twin engines and propellers on a sailing yatch of this size,. But... 11:19 that is the chart table? (Nonexistant?)

That's Y-Yachts marketing footage of sailing - we haven't sailed the boat yet, just viewed at the boat show
Why would it be a "no-go" as long as a proper distance is kept?

Appropriately named for a beautiful yacht.
Good price!

I have never seen straps on the ceiling
PS The displacement figure for lbs is missing a zero.
Gotta fix that music to dialogue volume difference - I thought my tablets speaker was gonna blow up and then I couldn't hear you talk
Can’t find a main sheet, even on the sailing video. Bizarre.

That screecher must be measured in orders of magnitude!
Stunning adorable boat but not won over by the shoestring toggle. A bit Heath Robinson.
روعه❤❤❤❤
Can a couple with six kids sail this yacht
Am I the only one to find the interior wood work looks like IKEA?
Epitomic illustration of our society! Few are getting richer by the day and middle class disposable income is dwindling by the day! What is wrong?
It looks so sparse inside, needs a designer. The dingy is the nicest part of this boat!
That bimini is a building abuse
90 foot yacht with only three cabins apart from crew!
Oof. That a biggie. 🎉
€6 million and all I get is IKEA chairs?
Modern boats are interessting..but some loose the marine soul to much sometimes...everyone has his own choice..
90 feet but only two guest cabins?! This is primarily just a family cruiser then I guess? One more double or VIP cabin would be nice on this size yacht I think....
I won't be caught on the water in a yacht that looks like a hotel suite on a business trip. I hope this trend ends, the rich have no class anymore.
Looks a bit tacky and cheap. Got anything more expensive?
Is there a company called z-yachts somewhere that makes even bigger, better & uglier sailboats?
poor interior . like a jazz bar around the corner and furnitured by amazon
Beautiful yacht, but compared to Italian yachts, the interiors look like trash.
That hard top Bimini monstrosity is awful
not the prettiest, but makes the cockpit so freakin comfortable

Very functional and sterile, not much luxury for 6M. A boat for those billionaire regattas.
Too cheap
Predictably unremarkable and boring Danish designed interior. Just a pretentious floating hotel room for a banker / wannabe sailor. 😅
Nice , looks like shopping at IKEA :)
Get a better camera that doesn’t flicker. It can’t be that expensive for chrissake
