I love love love this! I wish ever foster kiddo out there could have as relaxing and healing home as theirs! Regardless of the issue they are coming from, as a teenager especially, having their OWN space away from the foster family & forming their identity separate from the familial drama they have had going on for goodness knows how long, is SO essential to these kids being successful adults & transitioning to being productive, happy members of adult society in their next few years of life!
I used to hate shopping as a young teen. Everything never fit and I hated that I just couldn’t find anything and when I did it didn’t fit. Now I’m good but damn shopping as a teen girl sucks

As a former foster kid, who encountered several horrible homes, thank you for providing a safe, loving, and secure home for this kiddo. There's nothing like having a home and unused supplies to begin the school year. Btw, wood pencils, are great for giving away to people who ask. So are cheap pens.
I get the struggle of trying to find a red pen when they sell them in packs. We looked for a pack of red pens for my sister for 10 minutes, before finally relenting and getting a 5 pack of multicolored pens.

Miss A has a lot of pencils cause I can tell you as a college student and someone who has graduated high school in the last two years we lose pencils all the time. A friend needs a pencil, we leave our pencil in a classroom never to be seen again, they fall out of our pockets, we use them for homework at night and forget to return them to our backpack and need several backups just for one day its CRAZY. I was so happy to finally be able to write notes with our laptops but it doesn't help with memorization... the struggles of school...
Yaaa!!! Ms. A is in the video. I love how you follow up the very usual teenage exasperation, with a stroke on the baby's cheek and by playing with him. You may have a biting wit at times Ms. A, but it's obvious you are a softy on the inside, with lots of love to dole out. You remind me of my teen daughter. And, I gotta say, you on the floor at Target is pretty much exactly how I feel each time I go to Walmart. 🤣 I definitely have empathy for you Ms. A. I dreaded going to a new school at about your age. Just be your funny, sweet and awesome self and things will fall into place. ❤ . And, if they don't right away, just remember, tons of other teens feel the same way. I got tetris on my calculator just not to slow down my calculator. I love my TI84, it is my life, my precious, my everything. I hope Miss A can keep being in the videos as much as she is comfortable with. Maybe you could try the pixelated blur next time? I don't know if it's harder to do
You guys are amazing foster parents. My parents fostered newborns when I was growing up. They would come to us and stay their first 6 weeks to 6 months during the time period their moms to change their minds. My youngest sister is also adopted from the foster care system. Through these experiences I’ve learned that not all foster placements are good, but any child/teen who is placed with you is a lucky one. I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing your experience with us all.

I’m still pretty young, but being a foster parent is something I’ve always been sure I want to do when I’m older and in a place to do so. These videos always make me tear up, I’ve had a very bad experience with CPS, and seeing you helping kids and making sure you do everything you can to make their life better is amazing. You’re definitely someone I look up to, and your caring nature is beautiful to see
