Just purchased a rebuilt 250 te with a reklusive clutch as well a 300 kit. Havent rode a dirt bike in 27 years and just am amazed with everything about this bike. My only issue is I am 5'7" so its a bit of a learning curve, seeing as the bike stands tall.
Thanks Jamen for the review. I race MRAN also and finally moving to expert class this year. My 2016 number is 5s. Looking forward to seeing you out there this year on that Husky.
Finally someone who talks about the suspension. Great work and review. Nice riding man. Hey how much do you weigh? Just wondering if weighing in at 188 pounds before gear if I'll need to modify the fork. Thanks
As much as I hate to say it and trigger people, Husqvarna is now better than KTM in the enduro zone, because the enduro Husqvarnas are basically Six Days, only the price of the normal EXC. Not to talk about the new retro looking design, my friend owns a 2017 TE300 and they are just beautiful.
Great review and some sweet riding! Your video tipped me over the edge...I just traded my 2016 Husky 300 for the new 17, pick it up in a couple of days. WooHoo!!
Liked and subscribed. I got one of these too and agree about the suspension. That was my major hold back on this bike but I'm really pretty impressed with the new components and stock valving. I weigh about 190 geared up and just put 4.5 kg fork springs in and a 49 shock spring, haven't ridden it yet though. Yes the forks dive, hoping the springs get me in that happy place. What's your weight and where have you settled on the clickers fork and shock? Note that I had the minimum fork oil level (airgap was 120mm, range is 120 to 90) so that will effect the diving right there too, after testing with the new springs I will get closer to 90 on the airgap I would suspect. Check yours, maybe that would help with your soft feel. I also think the AT81 front is no good at all for my northern NM stomping grounds. Got some time to get this bad boy set up before next race season though so no worries on any of this. Post specs and mods as you make them, we are interested.
Great video! I rode a TE250 recently but couldn't tell you how it performed due to me riding it like a 4 stroke lol. Definitely a learning curve coming from a 4 stroke...
I really enjoyed the review. You were the last piece to sway me toward the te. Thanks. Im about the same weight as you. Im really impressed with the suspension. So far the bike has eaten up everything ive pointed it at. For anyone considering the Lectron, do some searching on youtube. There are some simple mods/jetting chnges to make this bike hum. And read your jetting manual... :)
Jonathan no, the problem no is the power, is the traction os the floor, sorry im spanish. Que el problema no es por potencia que es derrapaba la rueda y iba en una marca alta.
Awesome review. I have always considered a Husky. I really like the look and colors but most of all, they are really well known for great enduro/woods bikes. What state are you in?
Very good review and vid. Thx. I also watched few others from you (ROCKETSHIP :). The bike seemed to be working well there, was that stock Xplor fork? I see no aftermarket tanks listed for the 17 TEs, what kind of fuel mileage you getting from the lectron?
Great review on the bike! I was pretty curious about that new suspension, and hearing that makes me want to like it. I'll maybe have to try one out when I'm done with my Kawi. Just curious though, I saw you at Johnny Rock and that bike didn't have a headlight on it, do you have 2 of these?
Great video, im torn between this and the tx300 as i want to do some mx as well. Do you think this bike would be fine for a beginner on an mx track? Do the forks stiffen up enough on the clickers?
I am thinking about switching from a 450 to a husqvarna two stroke. I race the same type of off road races that you do, are you faster on the 2 stroke does the reduced weight keep you from getting as worn out?
If you have a stock carb, i think 45-50 miles is pretty normal if I remember right. In Moab you might get more depending on the trail and pace. If you have a lectron carb, they can do 70-80+ pretty easily.
Jamen Littlefield thanks for answer, I think I won't need electron carb as I always ride the same little island ! Did you have to make holes in your air box to make it breathe better like I saw with some guys ?
You say in your video that the bike has great forks, I've read a lot of bad things about that fork, too soft and very poor range of clikers settings, now that you know it better what is your thought on it ?
It reassures me, I also think that you are right, but at the same time it is true that those people who say that the fork is bad, are manufacturers of accessories for suspensions !! Lol after all I have never been disappointed by a new product from KTM until now maybe I should stop listening to that guys !! thank you, do you have a FB page ?
by any chance have you ever been on a TE 150? Im looking to upgrade and am stuck between the two. I live in the east and ride and race more tight trails so i worry that the 250 might be a bit heavy in the tighter woods, any help would be great man, thanks
Jamen Littlefield cool man, thanks for the reply. So I need both bikes haha. My local HS series in WA state has both desert and really tight woods racing.
"All I know is this bike makes you feel like Graham Jarvis"... that's EXACTLY how this bike feels, nailed it my friend, it's an AWESOME bike.
Great video and thankfully no shit music to ruin the sound of the bike. Awesome terrain also, I want one of these bikes for sure.
+1 on the THANK YOU for not ruining the amazing footage with shit music. The sound of that engine...is music

This is a great review brother. Did you come across any rattle snakes lol
Thanks Jamen for the review. I race MRAN also and finally moving to expert class this year. My 2016 number is 5s. Looking forward to seeing you out there this year on that Husky.
such good riding terrain
just started doing usra races out here and im looking at this bike. glad to see your review.
So did you ride the 300 yet.. And do you wish you bought one instead?? just curious

Not to mention the linkage on the huskys
That spot with the waterfall is that up by virgin? In this video you went all around southern Utah in one ride a solo? Crazy as hell
Great review, waiting on you comparisons to 300
Well done, most of my riding will be here in New Mexico desert-high desert. TX-TE 300 so your thoughts help a lot. Thanks
You have raced desert on your 2017 te250. Same springs, what do you weigh. Thank you. Why 250 not 300

Love these bikes as well. Good riding. Where was this filmed at?

At 5:35 , think you could have used the TE300 power :)..great videos

Insanely cool trail riding!!! Subscribed!!
I had a ride on a friends 300i 2018 loved it.and it's got 6 gears so nice if u need to do a little road work to get to the lanes🇬🇧👍
Oh thats pretty tight!! Like the idea of that!
were exactley is that place were your riding ??
great video ☺
What a place to ride, bike looks the goods too....
I'm afraid of heights and this video scared the shit out of me:)
Thanks for the review. I've watched a few reviews about these not getting enough air and many filing on the carb, any thoughts on this?
Your video make me dream ... Wow what an awesom terrain ! Great bike, I am wondering what is better 250 or 300 2strokes?
Jamen, it looks like you have a Lectron carb on there? If so are you liking it?
Great video, im torn between this and the tx300 as i want to do some mx as well. Do you think this bike would be fine for a beginner on an mx track?
Do the forks stiffen up enough on the clickers?
Jamen Littlefield have you riden the
Tx? Is it just as good in the slow technical stuff as the te??
Jamen Littlefield my thinking was that on the aer fork i could just adjust the air pressure for mx or enduro very easily
hows the new mikuni 38mm carb? i hated them (CRs) in the past how are the new ones
Awesome riding 👍🏽. Skills
Rad video :) Thank you for the review you did a great job.
James would you describe the TE as more sitting on or in feeling?
I am thinking about switching from a 450 to a husqvarna two stroke. I race the same type of off road races that you do, are you faster on the 2 stroke does the reduced weight keep you from getting as worn out?
Great vid man good riding! I have the 300 and it is great!! I just need a few years to become half the rider you are haha
Jamen, where is that waterfall area at?
great places! where are they?
nice review man
Hey man, I know this is an old video but I'm thinking of taking my TE 250 to Moab this year. What's the range that you were getting on a full tank?
If you have a stock carb, i think 45-50 miles is pretty normal if I remember right. In Moab you might get more depending on the trail and pace. If you have a lectron carb, they can do 70-80+ pretty easily.
@@XploreEnduro Thank you! I don't know why I found that info difficult to find. That really helps!
I've just order mine, and wanted to know if you had trouble for carburator settings as many guys says, thank you
Jamen Littlefield thanks for answer, I think I won't need electron carb as I always ride the same little island ! Did you have to make holes in your air box to make it breathe better like I saw with some guys ?
Thank you Jamen

so this bike have a Electric and Kick Start? anyway there's no key on KTM Husqvarna? so what if the bike been stolen? can we added contact key?
by any chance have you ever been on a TE 150? Im looking to upgrade and am stuck between the two. I live in the east and ride and race more tight trails so i worry that the 250 might be a bit heavy in the tighter woods, any help would be great man, thanks
Thanks dude, i appreciate the time! Good luck this season
Is that a lectron carb ?
What carb did you swap out for ?
dam nice riding spot
How many km you do with your te250?
I have a 16' yz450fx myself and I'm looking at one of these. Do you still have it? Is it still holding up mechanically?
Jamen Littlefield cool man, thanks for the reply. So I need both bikes haha. My local HS series in WA state has both desert and really tight woods racing.
Great job.
hello. im thinking of getting a husky te250 2017 or a 300te 2017. which 1 do u recommend? thanks
Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated
so the 300 would be quicker for racing?
Steve McQueen would like it.
Sick Video
That bike have an fan on radiator?
Jamen Littlefield thanks! I will buy one like your next week! 😎
you need a trials tire
rad trails
dam you got some skills lol
This is a very stupid past time. Smashing your expensive swingarm, linkage, brake components and fork on rocks.
Hows the bottom end power?
