    I followed the advice of one of these TH-cam Gurus on making a relaxation channel. Did all that work only to be knocked back by TH-cam for monetisation due to lack of originality. So, I scraped those videos, took 100% original video myself and images, put them together with the music and sounds, and a month later, bang, monetised. The lesson? To get monetised for a channel like that, use 100% original images and videos.

      @@rickytv7877 just type in “buy meditation music for commercial use” and a whole list of sites will come up. The best ones to use are the ones you pay for as they are generally not over used like the free ones usually are. For guided meditation, you can easily find many of them by searching Google
      but again, be prepared to pay something for them. Or, buy some guided meditation scripts and record your own with some background music. However, be prepared to do the work as this genre on TH-cam is not an easy one. I hope this helps you Ricky to get started.

    I can understand the desire to earn a living from TH-cam content. What I think some people don't realize is that if you are just a video machine, you don't always establish a personal connection with your audience.
    I personally feel that's very important. I have a genuine desire to help people. I also help myself with the content I create. I get in that realm when I create the video and I can listen to it when I need that particular type of content.
    Establishing genuine trust with your followers is at the top of my list.
    If my channel never becomes eligible for monetization that's ok as long as TH-cam continues to permit me to use their platform to reach out and help people ,I will continue to do so.
    I just won't quit my day job😊

    I like that you said the truth. I listened to TH-cam gurus and created a channel based on this niche but I hardly got views. I kept on researching to find out what I was doing wrong till I stumbled on your channel. I am glad to know the problem is that the niche is saturated and its just not as easy to make money as does promoting faceless TH-cam channels told us it was.

      Yes. I recently got interested in affiliate marketing and ran across this scheme, which is making the rounds in the money making niche. I was thinking "bulls....". They just saw a channel had a lot of views and said you can automatically have the same success just doing the same thing.
      Anytime anyone says this type of thing you're too late... Take that to the bank.
      It seems like the best way to make money is to just come up with a bunch of fake schemes and then sell someone a course, which upsells them a more expensive course.

    I’m just starting out, but I create my own sounds. And I’ve started to use a paid AI art subscription to create original thumbnails. As I focus on sleep music and sounds, I have most of my videos fade to black. I think Using as much original sounds and images is the key to standing out from the crowd.
    I record all my own music using Logic Pro , so I will not get flagged for reused content. I just think that most of the free content available today has been so recycled that it’s just not worth trying to use it. You could maybe try and pay a music producer on fivver to create something for you, and try and create your own imagery, if you don’t have the skills to produce your own.

    It is not easy to make money through meditation channels. The only thing that intrigues is the financial performance of some channels that are showing one still picture for 10 Hrs and probably the same music over and over again.

    I feel like your thumbnails could’ve been stronger, like the fonts and the pictures used, could’ve been more appealing or more accurately representing the sounds. The titles were pretty good but also could’ve been modified to be slightly stronger for example using key words like stress and peace, letting the thumbnails also reflect that.

      I read a comment here that TH-cam does NOT monetise mediation type channels since 2019. I can tell you from experience, that is NOT the case. My meditation/relaxation channel was monetised in early 2022. If you write your own music, maybe even shoot your own video, you should have no problems in getting monetised. But obviously, its up to the gods at TH-cam ultimately.

    If you look at some of the older threads where people questioned why their meditation/relaxation videos got taken down, you will see that Google said it was reused content, repetitive, looping videos and they used to monetize those, but have stopped, because like you said they are over the top with that many of the same thing. Plus if you look, you will see that none of them have ads, but what they do on some is have an affiliate links of sorts to Spotify or their website where I am assuming the music is from. I wouldn't waste my time with this. Also Social Blade is just showing an estimate of what a channel could potential earn, not what it does. So, rather misleading.

      I really think that's why he's not successful in this niche. He seems to have no knowledge of creating his own sound. Copying or using loops that everyone has will alert TH-cams algorithm that it's copied and not original. He needs a true passion in this niche to successful. Copying and pasting isn't what it's about, it's about creating your own sound that is unique. Every sound and tone with my sleep music is 100% original. I started doing this recently, and can see some light through the tunnel. But I have 28 years experience recording sound and truly have a passion for these type of videos. I've read from google forum itself, that relaxing and meditation music video can no longer be monetized since late of 2019. They said it's because TH-cam doesn't want advertiser money get wasted on videos where people just open to hear, and instead of watching the content...because you know, those who don't watch the video are not ads audiences for obvious reason. In my opinion, that move of TH-cam is make perfect sense.
    I wonder though, why the hell did i still see ads whenever i open meditation and relaxing music video now in 2022. Did TH-cam let some older channels go continue monetizing their sound only videos, or did TH-cam continue on monetizing those vids without giving those channel a share of the ads profit??

  • @pj-hs7pk

    they make it easier said than done but i feel with a bit of work you could definitely carve a niche. with your channel, the thumbnails were inconsistent. the good ones performed much better than the half-done black photo with text. all the videos are also random. i've noticed the largest channels have been around for close to 10 years and caught on the trend early. the newer ones that are succeeding look very calculated and do things a specific way. the videos are certain lengths ('angel numbers like 11:11:11 etc), thumbnails done certain way, they even run bots to leave positive affirmations in the comments (including some from "doctors"). stuff like that is important because most people watching these videos struggle in mental health and genuinely feel good seeing things of that sort.
    i think most people's problem is they are simply looking out for themselves (how can i make money quick) instead of focusing on who they are serving. they want to put in minimum work and get a result. after a month of posting you should have a base to study and figure out where to go from there, not quit.
    now obviously the original content and demonization is something to worry about, but i'm sure there's way around it (actually putting in effort)

    ok so..
    Fist of all i see the point..
    "TH-cam doesn't recognise this type of content as original content (whatever that means)".
    Are there people judging or it's the algorythm? what are the criteria of "original content"
    What if the whole creative approach / purpose of the channel is different though?
    Let's say that:::
    I am an audio engineer who loves capturing / recording nature or ambiance in unique (or not) situations / places..
    The concept includes me getting my a$$ out there, hunting the 'real thing' by using creative, recording techniques in the process (see it as photo/videography).
    Editing will take part as little as possible.. That means that as long as the video lasts, it's me somewhere there feeding battery to my devices..
    I also use unique, professional gear that makes me competitive in my field. Both in audio and video scenarios. Of course that doesn't have to mean anythng to "success".. but at least i can indeed provide a different experience quality / creative wise to the listener.
    The approach is not about getting a quick buck doing as little as possible.. nor tries to fit into any generic af niche of this kind..
    This is for people that can benefit from these sounds / imageries in many ways, and would appreciate quality, realism, and the work put in behind it..
    For sure the best move i can think of is to use that as a second channel and not as your main focus..
    How about that? Does that make any sense? Can this approach be interesting for people AND / OR can it be monitized at all?

    • @VEEDCREATORS
      @VEEDCREATORS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand what you're saying, but there's still no guarantee that TH-cam will see this as "original content"

      I was expecting you will elaborate a little bit further but anyways..
      P.s: In another video of the same topic you say that by using your own sounds and/or creative techniques "can guarantee" safety..
      What if i show my face, have an intro with dialog and/or text explaning things..?
      In other words.. WTF can i do to guarantee monitization??

    • @VEEDCREATORS
      @VEEDCREATORS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Everything I have to say on this topic is in the video - there's no way to guarantee monetisation. I don't have access to what TH-cam thinks, therefore all I can tell you is that many users with relaxing sound channels do not get monetised in 2022. In my opinion, having an intro with dialogue/text etc sounds like it COULD be more possible - but again, I CANNOT give you a guarantee!

    Can someone help me with this question please? I'm working on a second channel where I specifically make music on my own and would like to have it where the screen fades to black in like 10 seconds and then have it run for 10 hours. Since I'm making the music on my own by playing on my keyboard and recording it into audacity and editing it together putting it to a specific Hertz or whatever, do you think I will get monetized? I understand lack of originality visually, but that's only because I don't want light emitting from people's phones, laptops, etc so that they can fall asleep. TH-cam's response might be that if people are falling asleep, why should there be ads on a video that people aren't going to be awake to see, and my response to that would be well don't put ads in between the videos, put it at the start of the video and then the person could skip the ad and fall asleep to the music, or if people don't click the ad, then don't charge the advertiser unless an ad is clicked. But I'm pretty sure with my creative music skills, I can get to a thousand subscribers and 4,000 hours worth of watch time eventually, and would like to make money off of it, but if all else fails, I still really do care about helping people fall asleep, which is a big goal for me, and I would like to put a smile on one person's face if I can, and that would mean I won, but it would also be nice to get paid for that hard work so if I don't get monetized, I could still technically put a GoFundMe page or something in the description and say hey, would you mind funding my hard work? Because my main goal is to get rich so I can then help homeless people and sick people etc, and I would like to make passive income doing the things I love like music and acting etc but currently have my main channel and also trying to make the second channel as well as working for cryptocurrencies doing marketing like CDS, which I invested a lot of money into because I have a lot of faith into it and believe that that will be my main source of being rich. But other passive income like the second TH-cam channel would be nice, but I feel like I'm putting so much work into making these tracks, I would feel really bummed if they don't monetize me even though I made the music myself, cuz then for that matter I would just film myself playing the background tracks, and then instead of black screen it would be me playing it for 10 hours straight by looping myself or whatever and then it would be completely original right in terms of both audio and visuals and there you go, but I'll have to figure that out when I get there as I would like to have at least 50 tracks or 50 videos before I even create the channel. Thank you everyone and I love you all and good luck with your channel and I hope you all get amazing success, let's help rebuild this world together

    I'm a professional music producer and video producer, I created a relaxation content brand because I enjoy producing ambient stuff, I didn't launch it I had to park it for a while because I had so much client work, but now its ready to launch I want to abandon the brand because I feel like labelling my work as relaxation content actually tarnishes it because of how much garbage there is on youtube in that niche.
    People auto generating music, get rich quick passive income making meditation videos blah blah, i'll sell you 10 youtube mediation videos for a hundred bucks etc. Its all just garbage. After doing so much research in this area if I wanted to listen to ambient music on youtube I would never click on a relaxation content vid because the expectation is its going to be awful.
    I've noted that the big players in this game when I first started looking at it don't seem to get many views on new vids. The ones where its all like 1 million or 2 or 5 million are all from 5 or 10 years ago. So it seems like there is a correlation between the influx of generic crap courtesy of the i'll teach you how to make 6 figures a month in passive income cretins, and the reduction of views for many of the big players who lets face it weren't making particularly inspiring stuff.
    For me the idea I had was always well if this person is getting 10 million views on a vid and their music is crap why don't I just make something good? But now it's so saturated with garbage I don't even want to label my stuff as the same thing. And there is no way you can get a channel like you've done in this vid monetized now. You can just get an AI synth to endlessly generate drones etc and youtube becomes a swamp of crap so absolutely they should be filtering this stuff out.
    I think youtube might be making a shift away from generic relaxation brands and becoming more favorable towards actual real individual artists potentially. Because actual music producers like my self are catching on to this now so we can then saturate it with good stuff rather than these admin monkeys trying to make a fast buck clogging it up with shit. Thats how I think it might be going but I can't be certain.
