There is great power in sharing the trials and challenges as much as the triumphs and celebrations. Life is ugly and difficult sometimes, when you depict yourselves facing and overcoming obstacles you give other people a chance to find that strength in themselves as well. The more honest the portrayal the more powerful the message.

good advice , get out there and live your dreams. I have always travelled a lot. I was diagnosed with leukaemia 3 months ago and spent my 50th birthday in hospital for the last month. so you never no what's round the corner. so live your life now, don't put it off as you may not get the chance again. I would never regret the time i have always taken to explore this amazing planet. xxx

A good life lesson concerning "hard" decisions (although they are not hard if you are already dedicated to them). When i have experienced these types of moments i remind myself of a quote/saying (i'm not sure who said it).. "you gain the courage afterwards, not before" so you have to take the plunge and then, upon reflection, you realize that you CAN do it and it gets easier the next time because you already know that you are capable of it. #courage

Absolutely would love to hear about the money side. My plan is to try and work as an entertainer or to work as social staff at resorts or on tours; is that realistic?

Good question! So our plan was to save around £6000 with the plan that would last us a whole year of travelling. We only managed to save £2000 before we left though, but still decided to go. Thankfully the money we make from TH-cam and buy me a coffee (between 300 and £500 per month) is enough money for us to travel :) So our budget is around £300 per month, but we are very much minimalists in that we don't eat and drink out. So in terms of a budget it probably depends on what kind of travelling you want to do. We're happy to just sit on anchor for a week, whereas if you want to go in bars or doing the tourist attractions you will need a little more. And of course with our budget, if someone happens on the boat that needs fixing - there's the risk that we'll have to fly back to England to try and earn enough to fix it. Going forward in the future, we hope to build up our TH-cam to sustain ourselves as well as other possible online ventures :) Hope this helps! 👍
Well, were pretty lucky to have be fairly minimal to start with 😅. Neither of us have many different clothes on board and the only extra stuff we have with us is camera gear and snorkeling/spearfishing stuff. Luckily Talisman has lots of good storage as well, a few boaty people who have been on board have mentioned how they were surprised with the amount of storage we have. We can see how easy it would be to use it all up though 😁. Thanks for the comment 👍

Yeah I guess so and I think very perceptive of you to say "it's good to get of our comfort zone a bit" and shoot for the stars …..or something like that...just one thing , never having lived on a boat before or even a ship where and when do you empty the ,I think its called "the head" . No one ever talks about that? 😎🤐👍
Yep, it's called the head 😁 so different boats do it different ways. Some have a holding tank, where all the waste stores on the boat until you get to a facility on land where you can empty it. It wasn't really achievable on our boat due to the size and there being nowhere for it to go. In most places you can use the toilet and flush directly into the sea when a certain distance from shore (of course not flushing toilet paper or chemicals) but when closer to land we would just use the toilets provided on land. OR our back up option of (excuse the crudeness here) basically a bucket, composting material, and then we can take this to shore to dispose of. Hope this helps 👍

I would love to hear how you will finance it and what budget you feel is reasonable.
Good question! So our plan was to save around £6000 with the plan that would last us a whole year of travelling. We only managed to save £2000 before we left though, but still decided to go. Thankfully the money we make from TH-cam and buy me a coffee (between 300 and £500 per month) is enough money for us to travel :) So our budget is around £300 per month, but we are very much minimalists in that we don't eat and drink out. So in terms of a budget it probably depends on what kind of travelling you want to do. We're happy to just sit on anchor for a week, whereas if you want to go in bars or doing the tourist attractions you will need a little more. And of course with our budget, if someone happens on the boat that needs fixing - there's the risk that we'll have to fly back to England to try and earn enough to fix it. Going forward in the future, we hope to build up our TH-cam to sustain ourselves as well as other possible online ventures :) Hope this helps! 👍

How did you fit all your stuff on a 28 footer? I need to know, I'm by myself on my boat and Im still with a lot of stuff in storage 😂
Well, were pretty lucky to have be fairly minimal to start with 😅. Neither of us have many different clothes on board and the only extra stuff we have with us is camera gear and snorkeling/spearfishing stuff. Luckily Talisman has lots of good storage as well, a few boaty people who have been on board have mentioned how they were surprised with the amount of storage we have. We can see how easy it would be to use it all up though 😁. Thanks for the comment 👍

Yeah I guess so and I think very perceptive of you to say "it's good to get of our comfort zone a bit" and shoot for the stars …..or something like that...just one thing , never having lived on a boat before or even a ship where and when do you empty the ,I think its called "the head" . No one ever talks about that? 😎🤐👍
Yep, it's called the head 😁 so different boats do it different ways. Some have a holding tank, where all the waste stores on the boat until you get to a facility on land where you can empty it. It wasn't really achievable on our boat due to the size and there being nowhere for it to go. In most places you can use the toilet and flush directly into the sea when a certain distance from shore (of course not flushing toilet paper or chemicals) but when closer to land we would just use the toilets provided on land. OR our back up option of (excuse the crudeness here) basically a bucket, composting material, and then we can take this to shore to dispose of. Hope this helps 👍
