    This is an excellent video and it has inspired me to study more languages. I notice a key theme here is the exposure to foreign languages.

    It is very inspirational and interesting to hear a polyglot talking about how she hears or feels the language without having studied the grammar. I do this and have always felt a bit “second rate” for not needing or even liking pouring over the rules 🤓 I feel how it is meant to sound and then later I look for the rules. It can be a bit of a problem when I use sources that name tenses and such because I don’t know what tenses are called even in my own language😁

    Thank you Daniella for sharing your incredible story 💗 Could you record a video about how you learn languages, what exactly you do, for example, what you did when you studied English, your daily routine, it would be useful. I'm learning English. Thank you!

  • @yorgunsamuray

    When I was at the university we had to choose a language class as well, but people actually choose the main foreign language they know, then enter the level exam for exemption. One less course to study. If I was not in a language major (Japanese) I wouldn't mind learning another one, but that would interfere with my language learning. I'd expect universities with a foreign language medium to have a year of preparatory language learning class, I was surprised at having to solve English in a few months.

    I would generally consider my English not to be very bad. I study the language and have been studying at a boarding school for a certain time. Now I have to say that when I examine your language skills, I see that you think in the language, have totally taken it and subconsciously use it. I would love to get to that point. My English meets the standards of C1 with a tendency towards C2. To gain more fluidity and confidence with the language I would very much like to ask for your advice. Perhaps you can reflect on what has helped you and help you to use English at the level of speaking and writing. Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
    What I probably need is a bit more time of exposure to the language) My brain and consciousnesses simply need more time to be completely accustomed to the language i am learning. Any advice on how to reach this?

    Felicitări Daniela.

      @Barbu Robert , Eu mă refeream că dacă bunicii sunt din Moldova , atunci Daniela are rădăcini în poporul Român și sînge de Româncă. Nu zic că tu nu ai dreptate . Putem spune că este cetățeană Rusă de naționalitate Moldoveneasca , pe care eu o consider ca fiind parte din România , luată cu japca de către Ruși. Probabil și Daniela se consideră Rusoaică , și pe bună dreptate , pentru că ea s-a născut și a crescut în Rusia.

    Do you think it's OK if you learn at once two or three languages?

    • @APolyglotDiary
      @APolyglotDiary  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In general I think yes, I always do so as I want to learn so many language and the time is not Infinite. However, you should be careful because if you pick very difficult languages, you might get overwhelmed quickly and lose motivation and interest. So, it depends on the languages you choose.

    Your English is excellent, but with some mistakes or unnatural speech, eg understanding not comprehensive, obvious not evident, on an intuitive level not in the intuitive level, look up not search, etc.
    I'm pointing this out not to be negative, but for your viewers, as imho it's a problem to learn from non-native speakers. I experienced this with Hebrew when I picked up mistakes from fluent non-native speakers.
    Again, not criticising you, please keep up the good work! And maybe mention the level of each language and how you maintain them, thanks!
