From what I understand, Lynne Postlethwaite is not Magda's creation, but writer Andrew Knight's. Sharon might therefore simply be the easier character to use because Magda 'owns' that character. However, Lynne did make some appearances in recent years as a mock election candidate for Clive Palmer's party.
