I started watching the show last week and I've been pleasantly surprised! Love all of the characters and how committed the actors are to their roles, the fun mystery of the plot, and just the right amount of camp. Also love to see the cello representation!
When I heard this piece in the first episode I immediately thought back to Ramin Djawadi's memorable arrangement of the same song from HBO's "Westworld," so I thought I'd throw in a bit of that suspenseful intro too!

Growing up I had a neighbor who would play cello and she was hired at the Opera. She would play the most beautiful pieces and it felt like such a treat when she played late in the evenings and us kids would fall asleep while listening to her play the cello. As an adult I can understand why she never got a noise complaint by any of the neighbors because we got to listen for free, what people paid lots of money to listen to.

So you and your siblings has begun to investigate on why this sudden change happened and also its timing exactly on your sassy aunt's death.

People that don't play string instruments don't realize how hard it is to pull off those pizzicato, staccato and glissando while executing the piece with melodramatic and whole sounding notes. The emotions and the dynamics of your playing is just majestic. Bravo.
I do! I play trombone but I watch my friend play violin a lot. Definitely very hard work, I wish I could pick up a string instrument lol

Yes, sting instruments are so hard! My 12 year old is pretty advanced in classical guitar, playing some level 8-9 pieces. When he started learning cello 6 months ago, left hand was easy to pick up,
but bowing techniques is very difficult, a lot more thought into how to move each stroke. He thinks cello is harder than classical guitar.

I am _astounded_ at how well you managed to cover the composition. From my understanding the original was significantly enhanced through studio technology. I think it’s a testament to your skill that you managed to reproduce the complex drama of the piece all through your own talent. Hats off to you and thank you for this breathtaking rendition. I’ll be listening to it many, many times. :-)

이분 첼로 커버영상은 ㄹㅇ 레전드... 한동안 이 음악에 빠져서 계속 찾아다녔는데 미묘하게 박자가 빠르거나 느려서 조금 애매했는데 이분은 한치의 오차도 없는 박자와 비져나옴 없는 음, 뒤에 잔잔하게 깔리는 배경음악이 지나치거나 너무 없지 않아서 오히려 더 좋은거같다

I love how flawless he was while playing. It was a pleasant surprise for Wednesday to be playing the Cello and Paint It Black by the rolling stones. A few of my family members (deceased and living) are fans of The rolling stones music.
I was surprised to see that the title doesn't mention that "Paint It Black" is a Stones song, not Wednesday Addams or Westworld.

I’ve played violin since 3 years old, although this year / last year I started learning cello . Nothing to intense like this but I have asked my teacher if I could ever play this, which one of my friends who has play for maybe like 7 years? Told me that there are lots of finger movements which is understandable. Overall I absolutely love this show. I stopped watching it, but I catch up on all the seasons with my friend 😅. Oh!, and I do play piano. Someday I hope to play somewhat like this if I practice everyday, but I think I would be too busy. I get lessons every 2 days except Saturday and Sunday. I think the whole song is very beautiful, even if it’s rock / metal I still think it’s beautiful. One last thing: my favorite character is Wednesday and Tyler ❤

@@nicholasdyee i will try, I recently just got my cello tuned because the c string was fully broken and the whole instrument was out of tune. But it was better than bringing it to my orchestra teacher at school back and fourth. I want to be the best at cello but if I’m the Best it would be hard to learn new things. The Rolling Stones version of the song is one of my favorite songs ever. Because of certain experiences I had in Iraq, the song means a lot more to me now than it did many years ago when I first heard it. This song will always have a special place in my heart because of the good memories it brings to me during one of the most stressful and difficult times in my life.
Because it is a favorite song of mine, when I found out there were many versions of it coming out because of the Wednesday movie, I have listened to many of them. This is by far the best one yet. You fricking rock, dude.

I play in an advanced orchestra in high school currently, not cello, but violin, and I love this. The bowing and intonation is amazing. I especially love the spiccato at 1:51!

As someone who would call myself a prodigy despite only having 5 years of playing cello and flute, I’m amazing at how you play the pizzicato, staccato, and glissando so beautifully. I’m simply mesmerized by the playing, how you can play so well with melodramatic and these full and whole sounding notes. Even with the background, it sounds well played. Everything sounds so well tied together. I’m still trying to master the such talent and techniques you display in this video. You played this so well, bravo truly!
