Absolutely right. Please lodge a complain with nhai toll plaza . They will help. Please note anytime in past if you crossed that point it may get deducted later.

Please raise a dispute with the issuer of FASTAG (HDFC Bank in your case). The amount should be refunded. But the issue still baffles me. Unable to believe how this can happen.

I use Paytm fasttag and yesterday something similar happened with me, I was at my home and my car was parked inside in the parking of my house and an amount of INR 165 got deducted at Chhajarsi toll plaza, Khera, Pilkhuwa, UP. The toll is 61kms away from my home and I have never ever in my life visited there. I started searching on the internet how this could have happened and found such scenarios are happening with a lot of people these days. Don't understand what kind of a fraud is this and how can we as consumers protect ourselves, I had a total of 400 INR balance in my fasttag and 165 got deducted. Any help or suggestions on where and how can I raise this complaint will be much appreciated.

A possibility is there that a transaction from that UP's toll gate somehow through a glitch in HDFC 's servers, reached you. (There is no chance of this happening)
