Only love and respect, the atmosphere was electric! This was definitely the best gig I’ve been to. I think I spoke to your friend, the lad with The Sound / Chameleons scribbles on his T-shirt? He was adamant he was gonna invade the stage too. What a night…
evry time i hear this song, my change is changing and i become happy..I never understood why chameleons didn t have better success than U2 or Simple Minds, absolutely better music and atmosphere.. all songs of chameleons are great..
I am brazilian with Sicilian and Irish descent , and I am very fond of good music , literature and cinematographic interpretation . I confess that I didn't know this band , The Chameleons . I really enjoyed their instumental . Good evening ...
It gives me great pleasure knowing I’ve introduced you to them! Continue the journey and give their first album, ‘Script of the Bridge’ a listen. Great to meet you :)
Recently discovered the Chameleons, never heard of them until about a month ago. Been listening to Script of the Bridge almost every day since..absolute magic. That gig looks to have been an amazing night, great memories I'm sure. Thanks for uploading.
@@alantweedie6943 Thanks mate-I picked up 'Dreams in Celluloid' recently on CD, and that has the Tony Fletcher EP included as a bonus. 'Is it Any Wonder' is superb. Still haven't listed to 'Why Call it Anything' yet as I keep going back to the first two albums in particular
@@alantweedie6943 yes, it's excellent, took me a few listens to get into it as it wasn't an immediate hook like their earlier albums are. I live in Canada, hoping Chameleons Vox pay a visit to Toronto later this year so I can see them live .
I bet there are precisely zero radio stations playing them in the UK today. In Seattle KEXP had them a session recently, just like John Peel days in the UK 80s. But nowt now on radio in the UK: thank goodness for TH-cam (and KEXP).
Thank you so much for recording this I was the girl stage invading😂😂 This was the best night of my life Love Mark Burgess

Yeah you did 😊 I have to agree it was the best gig I think I’ll ever go to 💗💗
Pure magic. Also, thank u for subbing 🖤
Very gently remove by the legend that is Tony Skinkis 😉
Great band, I fell in love with Script of the bridge so much that I just had to get it signed by Mark Burgess and Reginald Smithies.

What a great moment to be captured...
Hard to bet against this being the greatest song ever written

They are playing Edinburgh in June. My mate has all the chameleons songs on vinyl. Worth a lot of money now.
Passionate crowd!

Brilliant!! Gonna see them twice next month, can't wait.

Better than that even, IMO !

Reg looks so passionate, love that. Classic song.
Criminally overlooked in the '80's. How?
Looks like alot of fun. This band was so underrated, good for them to have another go
Looked like a awesome time, hope they come to NZ some day if they haven’t already
second skin always , always, always :)
What a tune
Absolute magic
Love the chameleons
I know and hear this song in my twenty years in 80`s Faboulous
Great song and good sound here.
Please come at Lyon 🙏
Damn it was legendary
Someone mutters at the end “what a fucking Legend”
They’re totally right.
Haha that was me! Right into his face! What a man…
Great night

Reg Smithies is a very influential guitarist.

My Love,forever
Last night I said these words to my girl..
The Beatles
Please Please Me

fucking amazing...... full stop
8:08 Good Mark had the intention of jumping into the audience to dance.
♥️🙏🌞
I really like the outro that isn't on the OG album. Any studio version with that included?
I doubt it, friend… it’s a medley of The Beatles ‘Please Please Me’
What, if the best 80s and 90s rock music ever was never performed in a stadium ?
God I wish the crowd was this cool when I went to see them in LA, People here in LA really suck
It was by far the best crowd and atmosphere I’ve ever experienced at a gig…
Who is playing guitar on the left??? Surely it cant be Dave!?
not Dave
