how do you get high GPU usage? i have the same setup and i can't get my gpu usage high enough to reach 144 fps, its stuck at like 40% usage. I play in 1080p 144hz, ive tried lowering the setting but i can only achieve 100% usage on ultra which i cant reach over 80 fps with. Also do you use AFMF in these clips?

i see terrible 1% lows but was wondering what is ur 5500 usage at? mine is above 90% at all times on fortnite (the culprit for fps drops obviously) and was wondering if i just need to upgrade my cpu or if i just need to tweak some settings to help with the high usage cuz my 6700xt doesnt go above 70% usage on fortnite even in 1440p but my fps drops are terrible.
Try XMP, PBO, fan curve software (i personally love fancontrol its free) i would look for the most cpu intensive settings on fortnite too, it shouldnt be eating that much of it. I had a 3700x which is similar to a 5500 and it never behaved that way in any game. Make sure fortnite is installed on a SSD too

Is your Gpu overclocked?
With the same CPU? If your VGA usage is well below 100% then it means you are most likely CPU bottlenecked.
