    What an excellent film with a massive atmosphere,. It's hard to imagine how young men could come home and carry on without being seriously affected by what they had been through and this film captures some of those horrors.

    Very moving and personal. I think one of the hardest realizations for soldiers on all sides of the conflict to face was that the enemies they were killing were not the dehumanized images state propaganda and the media were making them out to be.

    Shell shock, combat fatigue and PTSD (same thing, different wars) is one mean, cruel bastard of an affliction. A couple dear friends of mine will never lead a “normal” life because of it. Understanding that the person with PTSD cannot control the flashbacks, zone outs and nightmares. The best they can do is manage it. A broken leg can be set in a cast and can mend quite well as the human body is quite good at that. A broken spirit on the other hand doesn’t mend as easily.

    I hate how in every ww1 movie or short film, it is always showing the allies point of view, and the Germans are fools just waiting to get shot. I wish we saw a German point of view in ww1. What were they seeing and experiencing in the trenches, what was there stories.

    • @LoserBroProductions

      emosh73 Is that some kind of joke? How were the Germans evil in ww1.

    • @LoserBroProductions

      emosh73 Why exactly do you think the Germans in WW1 were evil. Not the nazis, the ww1 germans.

    • @LoserBroProductions
      @LoserBroProductions 8 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      emosh73 No, the allies were not the evil guys, neither were the central powers. World War 1 was not good vs evil, it was country vs country. The evil ones were the stupid commanders on top who didn't care about their soldiers, they just wanted to win. The fact that you think every war is just good vs evil proves you have a childish mind, and you are ignorant of history.

    The film shows the modern description of PTSD: a traumatic event, the triggering of the memory of that event and the automatic unconscious re-enactment of the trauma (choking the enemy soldier/choking the bar customer). Unfortunately talking about the memory and avoidance of alcohol are necessary to treat it.

      Guys look I know you could get the Actual WW1 Equipment and Weapons but just think how expensive that would have been I searched up a couple of weeks ago and a Gewehr 98 is like $505.00 dollars for a rifle and some equipment would have went atleast to $1,500 so cut them some slack, it's not going to be perfect

      shell shock was what they called it back then. but there are some differences. shell shock is in the moment, like when a shell lands right next to you and you go into shock (hence shell shock). post traumatic stress disorder is when the symptoms of shock continue long after the traumatic experience

      There should be different variataions of ptsd, my dads a firefighter and has been one for 17 years, he works about 3/4 of the year and sees around 4 dead people every week, even to this day he saw 2 yesterday. He still drives on the same roads today where a month, year, decade ago he pulled bodies out of cars and had people die in his arms. He still goes to restaurants in town where a 11 month old died in his hands years ago, and he still lives in the same town where he has had 1000+ fatal calls over 17 years. Its different when you return from war and are now living half way across the world, he still lives and moves around where the traumatic events actually happened.

    The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.
    Salvation is in faith, but we must first realize that we're lost sinners and will die and burn in hell for eternity without Christ, once we see ourselves, all one needs to do is repent of their sins, and put their faith in God: believing with all their heart that He will forgive every sin. And asking Him to save their soul from hell with all faith and all sincerity! Believe in God and He will save you today!
