    Nothing wrong with that Austrian A320. Seems like a perfectly flown „TOGA 10“ after a bounced landing. You can even see how the regular landing pitch of about 5 deg was increased to 10 deg and held there until engine spool up and positive climb, and then when out of 50 ft continued with the standard G/A procedure.

    As for the Etihad, I personally agree with Frankfurt as the possible "safe option" for the alternate (even though it looks odd to back off to an airport that is about 1 hour flight time away from Manchester at first). The closer possible larger airports (the London ones, or maybe Birmingham) would have been a gamble too as you never know how bad the storm would be there at that point. Plus, there may have been a fresh crew ready there. 🙂 Better safe than sorry! 🙂

    Don't understand why the Austrian Airlines flight didn't follow thru on landing.
    F-18 carrier landing was actually pretty scary. Navy pilots are awe-inspiring.
    The Etihad flight? Why did it have to go to an alternate after two attempts? And why was its alternate so far away?
    L-39 canopy loss - either the pilot failed to close it properly (unlikely - he would have noticed) or the ground crew needs to get in BIG trouble.

    • @rtbrtb_dutchy4183
      @rtbrtb_dutchy4183 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      For Austrian, the decision to abort was made before it touched down. Obviously they felt unstable to continue.
      Most airlines require their pilots to go to their alternate after 2 go arounds.
      So far away for multiple reasons. Mostly, because it had good weather. Probably had a fresh crew in Frankfurt as well.
      The L-39, what ground crew? It’s probably a owner/operator. We don’t know what happened, but the pilot not securing the canopy isn’t that far fetched.

    Man, the Rhino pilot really let the ball drop out from under him! He was high and went to Mil with like 3-4 seconds of ball flying left and it still kept falling. Paddles definitely gave him a hard power call.

    FC- 18 Championships. Was actually pretty dynamic.
    Nightingales pilots are awe- inshared.
    The Ethiopian flight? Why did she have to go to an Australian. Alternatively after two attempts? And she was its alternate. So far away?
    L-64 Canopy weight loss - either the pilot failed to close it properly. (Unfortunately - She would have to be noticed) On the background crew needs to get into BIG trouble.
