Personally the size was never my issue with the xbox controller its just the asymmetrical analog sticks drive me nuts. You guys are gonna be missing out on Demon's Souls i feel bad for you for that

Remember when it comes to batteries in the controller, you can always keep the controller and you don't have to get rid of it once the rechargeable battery degrades or tear it apart to replace the lithium battery. It makes sense but I also understand it being 2020 lol.
Another good thing about Xbox still using batteries is that when the charge packs eventually wear out you can just replace the charge pack rather than have to buy a whole new controller.

Helpful for when the batteries die mid game after you ignore the message telling you that your batteries were low 3 different times.

Using disposable batteries is inconvenient and relatively expensive.

Mine was cancelled. Ordered through target. Spent half an hour on pre order launch trying to get through the checkout just to get my order cancelled. Absolutely ruined my day when i got that email. Still pretty salty about it tbh.

I love controlers with AA. it last longer and you just have to have some batteries around for INSTANT charge, no waiting

Remember when it comes to batteries in the controller, you can always keep the controller and you don't have to get rid of it once the rechargeable battery degrades or tear it apart to replace the lithium battery. It makes sense but I also understand it being 2020 lol.
Another good thing about Xbox still using batteries is that when the charge packs eventually wear out you can just replace the charge pack rather than have to buy a whole new controller.
Trust me having a controller that doesn’t require batteries is better by a long shot
People can’t get it through their heads that having options isn’t an issue.
I would agree if the console included a rechargeable battery. The reality is this is just a way for Microsoft to sell more peripherals.

The whole battery moment, I felt that. Todays kids will never understand not having batteries to put in a new toy at Christmas. That is an excitement killer. I watched both system unboxings. Glad they went with AAs, the internal batteries on the PS controller have always degraded quite quickly. Much easier just to swap batteries out.
not to mention when the PS controller runs out of power you have to stop playing and charge it.

I love that they kept the controller design, why change something that was already good. Same controller just updated a few things I like the controller.
They did some minor cuality inprovements, like: usb c, share button, better d-pad, grippier dessing
It's actually better to use batteries for the controller cause charging takes a long time to finish charging and it can be annoying
But at least you don't have to buy new batteries, which is a pain
If you’re just smart ab charging them and don’t neglect charging them, then you’ll never have a problem. If much prefer that over the repeated cost of batteries
@@kaleburns9347 yeah charging batteries have never been an issue with me. You got 2 sets and you keep the rotation of charging when you change out the dead pair and you are always good to go. Helpful for when the batteries die mid game after you ignore the message telling you that your batteries were low 3 different times.
I got an xbox and just bought a charger but I sometimes use batteries when needed.
I prefer rechargeable batteries.
