Imagine living in Jersey and making 50k-70k a month at your job for five hours a day. Then imagine that not being enough and feeling the need to do stand up every weekend. Would have been better off getting his crap together and staying put all these years. Bummed out for him thinking about it.
Artie hated Hollywood, but really wanted to be in show business AND to live near his mommy in NJ. The Stern Show provided the only possible opportunity for that situation to happen and he still blew it.
@@Quint-g3w Assuming he would have never got a raise, which is unlikely, had he gotten together and stayed on Stern he would have made 10,500,000 bucks over the last 15 years without any stand up. Probably would have a wife, maybe a kid or two. Had a nice life. Such a shame what self destruction does to people. Crazy antics make for a good story, and notoriety, but when you get older it’s meaningless.
That's what I always come back to. He had it made, 20 hrs for 4 days a week but he was obsessed with money and always felt like he needed to make more.
I don't think he was using the first couple years. New job, new girlfriend, you're suddenly a huge celebrity making a ton of money. All that euphoria was enough to feed his appetite, but didn't last long. Any addict could tell he was using. The second Howard said he's nodding off I knew, then pretty much everything he did on and off the show afterwards confirmed it.
Even without the Artie reveal, the Bum Rush segment was a dark day on the show. The entire staff regretted doing it. I guess it seemed funny during the staff meeting, but in reality it was just sad.
Everything is a lie. Even when he talks about using he lies. When he says he's not using, he lies. It's all a lie. The truth about Artie is somewhere in the middle.
Lol you dumb MF if that were true, you would never have even heard about him being on H. Artie denied being high when the admission wouldn't serve him. Duuuuhhh. Unfortunately, Artie was honest to a fault.
As an addict, this is depressing
Awesome bro thanks 🙏🏻
Absolutely. One day Ill finish this saga! Thanks for listening.

@@juke1225 He would never be able to have a healthy relationship.
There was a show “relapse” but let’s be honest he was using the entire time. Such a shame he was so great on that show

Yeah, I was fast forwarding through it; it's gross.
Biggest liar in the history of show business.
