I went to the show in Chicago mainly to see Overkill, and Nile melted my face off! Got to meet Karl, shook his hand, thanked him for the great set, and told him to never quit what he's doing. He's a great guitarist and really nice guy; from now on I'll be going to see Nile every time they come to Illinois again.
I didn't originally post my Overkill video since the security cut me off after a couple minutes, but if you are interested, here it is th-cam.com/video/9HsvZz5Z5C4/w-d-xo.html
amazing shit! Karls vocals are impressive same goes with the instruments. Even without Dallas they deliver like a freight train. I would totally watch any show if they come to Europe again.
I like very much when Karl not only growls but also shouts. On the album "At The Gates Of Sethu" there was a lot of his "not-growling" vocals ("The Fiends...", "Tribunal Of The Dead", "The Gods Who Light Up the Sky at the Gate of Sethu", "Endure The Eternal Molestation Of Flame"). I hope that on future brand new NILE's album Karl will record lot of shouting and mummy growling parts and also gonna share vocals with bassman and Brian. Dallas - in my opinion - dominated a little bit "a vocals zone" in last years. He's a great growler but I prefer Nile as a three voices death metal collective.
yea nile did end up relying on dallas instead of using that cool dynamic they had years ago. which i can't blame them for, dallas has the best death metal voice going imo. its cool to see the 3 pronged attack again though and also cool to see this song live.
I had to pause the video and check the comments to see why Dallas wasn't on the stage. HE LEFT? WTF! My life is over! Nile will never be the same again! That what i thought at first. But looking at the video now. Damn that's some energy they have on stage! My last Nile show was nothing like that! And the new guy really rocks. I don't think they could have found a better replacement. I still have sorrow in my heart that Dallas isn't in Nile anymore but i have some hope that this lineup will continue to deliver quality metal. Will certainly be interesting when the next studio album comes out eventually. Oh and Karls screams starting at 2:59, goosebumps :)
I'm actually surprised how clean the double bass is, George is great and all but tbh his live double bass has been sloppy when I saw them live. Now I really want to see them again!

Fuckin' hell, I look forward to new music from this new Nile.
Good god! So many vocal dynamics and styles! Love it!
They sound great! Cool to have youngins in the band. Very cool singing, and I like Karl doing those mid-range vocals.
The new guy sounds extremely promising.

Karl's screamed vocals are really great and exude a lot of power. Especially since they don't appear often.
This song is so fuckin awesome.....It's really cool to see live...
I support this band by buying merchandise, and by also, being a devout follower.
Absolutely love how Karls vocals overpower the bass at certain points
this is so awesome

George is still with the band isn't he? I couldn't really tell who was behind the set.

The BEST line-up ever assembled for NILE.......
Its funny that Kingsland has the same Right-Hand-Picking-Style like Toler Wades
