If u think hindi and urdu are same.. U r partly right because both the languages are 99% similar. They r both made of sanskrit (ancient indian language) and farsi(persian) and also persian and sanskrit r also similar and both r very old languages. Modern day persian contains more arabic words but Pakistani and Indian people can both understand each other veryy well and Indian people also use many urdu words in their daily life and in indian songs also it is used very often. Just urdu contains more persian words(8-9%) (because of their religion) and hindi contains less persian words (5-6% ) and more sanskrit words so yeah u could say hindi and urdu r same.
