Technotronic the remixes was the fourth pirated cassette I have owned as a 11 year old kid. After 1 - But Seriously by Phil Collins, 2 - Step by Step by NKOTB, 3 - Please Hammer Dont Hurt'Em by MC Hammer I remember the shop where it was bought, in fact a home within pine trees environment. Shop was set up in a garage, in an ordinary family post-communist Polish village house 5 - was probably Michael Jackson's Dangerous, but after that memory wanes Also, times of Alf, Batman, Twin Peaks Good times
This version is the 1st I owned on cassette back in the mid-1990s then later on got it on CD. More years later in the 2010s I came across the Hi Tek 3 version as a CD single that was played during the 1st TMNT movie from 1990. Both versions are cool though this version here sounds more appropriate for the dancefloor.
I've had a crazy listening history with this track. My dad used to have the Technotronic: Trip on This album, but the one of the woman with the trippy pattern on the cover, and when listening to music with him, I always wanted him to skip it, because the intro sounded like it was skipping on the CD and some of our many other CDs had skippy parts, so I never listened past the first 20 seconds or so of the track and then some years later, I went back and had a listen, found out how truly amazing this mix is and now it's my favorite track by leagues. Basically, give a track a chance.
That's a funny story and sounds like something I would have done as a kid. What's really funny is that the opening of this mix is so good because of that intro. Then it hits ya with "Get Up And Party!" and it's time to shake your ass!
I first watched the video of the original song when i was in my early 20s. i never seen the video of the original song or heard the original song as a kid until i brought the video of the first movie as a teenager the only version of this song i heard as a kid was the kazoo version on tape.
Good memories 1991! I miss that days
Hearing this in 2024 makes me think that music hasn't improved since 1991, this song still sounds fresh after 33 years

So powerfull. Any time i fly ...
This version is electrifying
My favorite version hands down. The only thing I miss from the original mix is the "I'm here to promote the music" sample.
Putz Que Relíquia Gostosa 😊❤ Velhos tempos Quando a Juventude ainda Tinha Juízo

Cool story I had the same experience with Orbital - Halcyon but one day I left it running and realize it had a beat the energy picked up!

Before?
This formation is from 1990-1991 (the last good era of music IMO)
Look them up on Discogs or Wiki.
