Something you haven’t seen Cadillac put out themselves(not sure why, but since it’s not enabled in the US market I can guess) which shows buyers why they should invest in the Up-Level System - Three LED Projectors (UWN) for their XT6.
The breakdown of how this works is that cars in other countries truth me told run their headlamps at high beam all the time. However, to get around the issue of being absolutely annoying or dangerous by blinding other drivers are surpassed by a fantastic system that Cadillac hides away from the public. This being the integrated adaptive matrix headlight system embedded in the top of the line headlamps that are currently available for purchase when ordering a new XT6.
Some of you may be asking why Cadillac hasn’t talked, shown or even activated this on the cars. Well, unfortunately due to our federal anti glare regulations they are illegal here in the states while in other countries have been in use for years. In fact, this system is almost the same you would find on some of the new Rolls-Royces!(Although, they are more high tech and use laser light, not LEDs.)
Do not fret or feel like you are wasting your cash as there is a bit of good news. Late last year, Cadillac as well as many other companies that currently sell vehicles both here in the US and abroad, came together to petition a change to the regulation to allow this new futuristic tech to be legal here in the United States. Not much had been heard about the change at this time, but I’m sure that IF the federal regulations are changed to allow this technology, Cadillac will enable the features on all the current models that support it either over the air or on the next check up on the shop.
While not entirely the same, Cadillac also has this feature disabled on the CT6 models as well. However, while they have their high beams on all the time in other countries, the unit it’s self physically changes its beam to face downward. Something I’ll will post in a upcoming video.

Does anyone know if the bulb can be replaced individually or is it the whole assembly that needs to be replaced? I have a 2020 xt6 with the adaptive headlights and the driver side low beam seems to have gone out.

How can the body ECU to turn this feature on or off be accessed? Is there a dealer software item?

It would have to be flashed through the dealer SMS to have it activated. So far, no supplement or bulletin has gone out giving anyone the ability to activate it yet.

Do you have any more information on why as of today April 21, 2023 the upgraded headlamps on the 2021 Cadillac XT6 still have not been "authorized" to have dealer "turn them on" in USA? The NHTSA authorized adaptive headlights in February 2022 yet still not word on how to get these headlights enabled! Thanks for any information you might have....calls to Cadillac result in this answer, "No, cannot be enabled" but they will not tell you why........I can't believe there aren't more American consumers who purchased the upgraded headlights when buying their 2021 Cadillac XT6 at a cost of $700 and they aren't asking Cadillac the this question!

The dealer isn’t going to have any clue about any of this. They’re there to sell vehicles, practically no one knows anything about them except what you can easily google.
