    Good example, thank you. You helped other pilots and you will likely never do it again, and you didn't get hurt, so it is a win-win.

    Such cases are a bit unpredictable, what happened is probably the best possible scenario. Cool to see it all went fine :)
    Pre-flight checks are of course important, but also is trusting one's intuition when it says that maybe something is not right, before the take off. This has saved my ass multiple times.
    One good practice is to pull the brake lines to the outside, just before the take off. That way the wing bends to a nicer shape, quite often it will also undo some knots and show the others, as well as detatch trailing edge and brakes from any sharp objects on the ground. At that time you'd also see if brakes are twisted with anything else.

    It makes it much harder to mess up, if you keep your harness attached to the risers.

    • @Les__Mack
      @Les__Mack 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I realize this is true, and my trainer told me this too. However, if you are going to fly you should really be able to connect the wing correctly every time. You should not need to keep the harness and wing connected. just sayin.

  • @paraglideworldwide2643
    @paraglideworldwide2643 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Try not unclipping the glider. Just lay it out and fold it while still attached to the harness. It will make this error impossible.

No offence, but as I said, in a different take off area things would have gone very differentòy!
