Sorry to break it to you but the economy in Jamaica is not growing it hasn't been for awhile now as a matter of fact it's in decline! Who are you people?
I heard the presenter say the culture of Jamaica is different. It is more laid back. The challenge for returning Jamaica is to come back without seeking to always be comparing the positives of your 1st world place to what you would experience in Jamaica while never appreciating the positives of Jamaica compared to the experiences overseas. Be ready to appreciate that no place is perfect Not the USA, Canada or England nor Jamaica. The experience of coming back to Jamaica will be determined largely by your attitude. Look for the positives and you will find it. If you only look for the negatives you will find it too.
Jamaica is beautiful but a dangerous place for returning residents to live. I know so many who have been brutally murdered. Proper health care is non existent so don't get sick there. I love the USA.."you can never go back home" the saying says.

As a Jamaican on the ground in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and a fan of your TH-cam channel l can tell you that the government of Jamaica frustrate the ordinary citizens and Jamaica returnees daily, your skills, competencies, and experience obtained abroad are pushed aside by employers here, a lot returning residents have to go back to the Canada, USA and England because the ease of doing business in a day takes months if not weeks! The environment here is too laid back oppose to the hustle and bustle of the so called first world economies, high crime rates against citizens and returnees, the difficulties in setting up a business here, the never ending slow pace to get things off the ground, the backward mentality of the people within government and the private sector when dealing with documentation, high unemployment, corruption, high cost of living, and l could go on and on, the stress, struggle and difficulties in obtaining a job here especially as a young person etc; only politicians and their rich elite friends here living life. The only thing missing out of Jamaica 🇯🇲 is the train service there are trains there but they are old more than 50 years old ,they carried only school children, the government is talking about modernizing the train service, modern highways are all over the island , and mega supermarkets and mega malls, Jamaica 🇯🇲 aims to be first world country by 2030 but covid pandemic slow down the achievement and push it back for a few more years, but developments are happening very fast , it is not the Jamaica 🇯🇲 of 20 years ago.
Nice to return to Jamaica but make sure to be healthy, financially stable, security conscious, be aware of neighbours and strangers, and don't allow ourselves to be the centre of attention. It's not as green as stated. There are many who are being targeted. Also a lot are not returning as before. We are living in dangerous times and many pick up the foreign habits.
I've been back home in Jamaica since 1991 and loving it. No place like home. We do have the big highways, we are however lacking in the big luxurious shopping malls.
Because Jamaicans are waking up and realizing America is not to what it used to be back in a day, like in a 60s or 70s. If you came to America you could do OK here, but I'm married. The world is changing the countries that you think a great and no longer great England Jamaica. The West, the crumbling very, very slowly. It's not the same and everything bad. These people in those countries are looking for someone to blame for their problems. Foreigners migrants this that blame everybody. So it's not worth living in those countries anymore. If I knew what I knew now. I would never move to America. I'll stay in England or somewhere in Europe, but that's me.
It's easier to make friends in the Caribbean, I've noticed. I had more friends back home than before I moved here. I lived in NY, and made more friends. Then, I moved down South in the US, and made few acquaintances. Not friends. I don't want to talk bad about African Americans, but I noticed that most of them don't seem to be that friendly ( at least to me). I'm not weird or anything. I'm done trying to figure out why I try to be nice and kind to these people who treat me like crap.
It's the same issue for Black Americans from the Northeast moving to the South. They do not like us and will not want to connect with us as well. Like the American saying "All skinfolk ain't kinfolk" and this Black American keeps distance also.
You're absolutely right, my friend in the West. There's no community everybody's about self. Everybody's like greed and running down money. Particularly in America, we need to get back to family oriental and beat. Come back together as people to talk to each other. With the media and computers, people don't talk to each other no more but a lot of lonely Jamaica. I mean in England Europe, the West Australia. Because I focus on making money and try to make a great life. Enjoy your life. Go to Jamaica, go to enjoy life.
I'm a black American, No offense, but my question is why is did they leave Jamaica in the first place? Was it for better opportunities for advancement, like a better life, career, or financial gain?
So basically you are advocating moving to Jamaica and you’ve never even visited???? I may have misheard. I am a proud Jamaican and would retire or move back if the health care were better. Health care is nonnegotiable. And yes, I invested my personal money in wanting to change it and the present government did everything to sabotage it. Does that make me love my country any less, nope, but don’t paint a utopian picture as the reality of living in Jamaica, like anywhere else has its challenges. Don’t following trends folks, visit often, stay a while and get acclimated before pulling the trigger.
FORIEGN is not a bed of rose most foreign countries are getting more like any third world countries going back home and farm your own foods and becoming more resilient sell some of your food products eat what you grow create you own food security, use solar energy from year round sun shine. @@AnthonyWilsonOlympian if you’re a Jamaican you could tell in the beginning that he’s not a Jamaican. However he did his research and TH-camr made money from reporting about Jamaica. I am a Jamaican so I could tell he’s not. As long as he’s not putting down Jamaica he’s fine with me. ❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇺🇸
We would love to have you in Jamaica. Love your positivity and intelligence. Also love for your people.
Thank you so much my brother
Too much killing going on there. Some of the people are too jealous of each other. They have no heart 💔 for the people. We have to root them out before I come back there.
Move back home and let US root them out! What do you think?
JESUS SATAN WORSHIPPERS ALSO EATING TOO MUCH LOW VIBRATIONAL FOODS
It is everywhere. U leave home for work or whereever no grantee to return home. Ppl pushing commuters over subway tracks for no reason, stabbing n slashings on buses n train, mass shootings in schools n workplaces at street parades etc. Only God can keep us safe if mankind don't repent. Mankind heart has become wax cold.
It's so bad in the states the crime is off the chain so in jamaica just be careful and live somewhere safe. I want to move back and retire home
@@arlenebaker3187 Put in in motion after fifty years I'm fine....bags are pack for the winter.💯👍🏼
I worked with a number of beautiful sisters and brothers from Jamaica and their work ethics are impeccable. Many would rather be in their home country, but they come to the U.S. to work 6 months to 3 years at a time. It it good the economy in Jamaica is growing. I’m looking at moving to Jamaica myself. I love the culture.
Thank you for your video.
❤❤❤❤❤❤, from a Jamaican man, living in, FLORIDA. "BIG UP"
Jamaica is beautiful, but healthy care in Jamaica is very very bad and also the crimes there are outrageous,, ,when you live there and no means of income, it's very difficult
@bnepaul9268 Yes health care is extremely difficult like Barbados. Me and my family connections there, but most of us gone to Acrica to rebuild on land and be self sufficient. Best move
True but you can eat healthy
I got TMJ from the healthcare here i. America they are so racist
Exactly just like anywhere else. They are not looking into other important things that cause set backs. They focus on the greeney, the beaches, island life...etc. Many of them go back and don't live long cuz of the unnecessary violence n killings/slaughtering of 1 another over dumb shit!
Crime in Jamaica is different to The US.NO school or mass shooting
Be careful do not trust everyone.
The ordinary folks have to fight for scarce resources daily
That’s really disheartening to hear this I hope it improves and get better for everyone 😊
Well said. I agree with all what your saying
The government is more interested in remittances from diasporans as this gives it bragging rights as it relates to the country's GDP. They are short sighted and beyond this, they are not interested. I really despair.
@@anngore3842I hear you clearly and don’t know what to say other than I am speechless and empathise with Jamaicans for having such dumb politicians/leaders…..
You can stay..
This is so true, praises bro
And the chicken is real in Jamaica. Homegrown
😂😂
Can't wait to taste it
That's the one tha you grow yourself. Otherwise every thing else is modified
There are so many of us who would move back to Jamaica, the home of our parents and grandparents. One of the biggest issues that needs to be addressed is getting ripped off for repairs, maintenance, and landscaping.
And being targeted for murder...
@@jamdee6no u don’t unless you’re involved in it in some shape or form either by family or friends, I live in ja not rich n I’m quite fine don’t feel unsafe once I’m out on my route whatsoever. But ppl who come bk n get killed if u check the history behind the killing it’s never a random killing
@@jamdee6 They are not targeted. They\ statistics show there are more murdered who are more local and involved in something bad or the wrong circle. Stop trying to discourage people without facts
As a Jamaican moving towards home I can tell you that skilled , honest workers are in high demand in Jamaica.

I did not know that the other islands do not benefit much from social media like Jamaica. Thank you for the new info
You make me appreciate Jamaica more my brother thank you appreciate God bless you
You are a decent individual. Keep safe and well.❤️❤️
Thanks so much! I appreciate you
Very good information,
thank you.
Good for them. They've been out of touch with the island i'm running away
Bless brother
Yes I’ve move back to jamaica a long time ago , I love my country very very much!
A major problem for returnees is finding a safe bank to deposit some of their funds. My mother moved back home 20 years ago and her Jamaican bank kept siphoning off her little monthly Social Security funds with fees after fees. The money was almost done before the end of the month. How and where can Jamaicans deposit funds safely?
Credit union
The banking system is a joke
Good advice 👍
Thank you for watching.
Great video and you made some great points. Like most countries the government and the system will frustrate you, but if you return with a plan you will be fine. Nothing beats peace of mind
Yes, that is a good thing. Go home in numbers. That is so wonderful. Go now. Peace.

Sometimes you have to move away to recognize that we’re living in paradise and didn’t know it,As mentioned before I have the privilege and the opportunity to live both in America and in Canada 🇨🇦, and that’s when I Realized that I as a citizen of Jamaica 🇯🇲 was living in paradise and didnt know it,the first time I see poor people is when I was in LA,

There's a welcome awaiting you
Surprise to hear of Jamaicans returning home when it is often said its expensive to live there. I once stayed at an inn owned by a Jamaicans who migrate 52years ago yet owns a beautiful welcoming place for tourism.
Its a Shame that catering for Tourist is main focus of caribbn🤔
@is-real592 well the beauty of the islands is what interest foreigners.
You need to come to our island thanks for shearing
Yes I want you to visit Jamaica
Thank you for your Thanksgiving wish. I'm from Dominica, but live in the United States. My spouse and son was born here, and I'd like to move out also. I just don't think they want to move out, unless it becomes impossible to survive here.
I was born in the mid 60s , from Clarendonian family in London, I have been to Jamaica so many times, and I'm fed up with the winter, I want a full year in the Caribbean, I got a nice plan for a business in yours , fantastic vlog perfectly delivered 👊 remember me ❤️🖤💚

STRAIGHT UP TRUTH AND NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
Sad he doesn’t mention the high crime rate., that needs to be addressed.
I am at a sweet spot in my lifetime now after 22 years in the USA 🇺🇸 i can make the sweet decision to go back and forth i am very close to retire and spend more time in Jamaica 🇯🇲 the USA 🇺🇸 will always be my second home life is still great in the USA 🇺🇸.
Truthful as it gets. Totally agree.
My Brother, I am praying for the funds so I can come back home. St-Best 4 ever.
Well said 💯%
Thanks for watching
Good information
Nice to return to Jamaica but make sure to be healthy, financially stable, security conscious, be aware of neighbours and strangers, and don't allow ourselves to be the centre of attention. It's not as green as stated. There are many who are being targeted. Also a lot are not returning as before. We are living in dangerous times and many pick up the foreign habits.
Bless up.
Yes my brother. I love this video. I am sharing it with everyone. Come to Jamaica. How do i reach you?🇯🇲🇯🇲
Great content, come home 🏡 to jamaica 🇯🇲 my friend, may God continue to bless you 🙏 in Jesus name 🙏

I do not celebrate thanksgiving anymore … What is happy about it? Look at the history…
I've been back home in Jamaica since 1991 and loving it. No place like home. We do have the big highways, we are however lacking in the big luxurious shopping malls.
Been having this same feeling the past 2 years

Make it happen. You won't regret..
We want to move back to our true home( Mama Africa).
Every citizen has to have the right to bear arms first. Still waiting on them to issue gun permits to regular people..
❤❤ neighbor wah, dem too dyamn stankk over here to backside, especially in d apartment buildings.
@@Miranda-cs2io you can befriend non black americans.
It's the same issue for Black Americans from the Northeast moving to the South. They do not like us and will not want to connect with us as well. Like the American saying "All skinfolk ain't kinfolk" and this Black American keeps distance also.
@@Miranda-cs2io i endorse your statement..so true , I noticed that too.
Hope y‘all can make it well there! Good luck!
Jamaica need a better health system.

Really you’ve never been to my country. Wow, I promise when you go there you never want to leave the most beautiful place on earth
I'm a black American, No offense, but my question is why is did they leave Jamaica in the first place? Was it for better opportunities for advancement, like a better life, career, or financial gain?
@@211sweetypie It's the same reason for every 3 world country
