When I started in computers End of does 5.0 and 386sx machines. Did tons of Does 6.22 machines sporting windows 3.1 Sold new 286 boards and 386 boards. Got really good at config.sys and autoexec.bat files. Plus setting up non plug n play around cards. Use to know all the addresses. Sound blaster was what like 220 irq 5. sometimes 3. Anyway have fun.
I know thats one of things I am going to have to relearn for this series, how to configure all the interrupts and addresses to get cards to work and of course finding all the drivers! It's one of the reasons I try to gather certain cards that come in through ewaste like 3Com network cards, adaptec SCSI cards and Belkin USB cards as its easier to find drivers and manuals for those.
