Momo’s elimination took a huge effect on her confidence and even after she was brought back. She had a lot to change, so glad she was brought back and was placed into twice.
The way all nine of them have different personalities is awesome.

What I love about TWICE is that they were able to break that stereotype girl group image, I often feel that idols groups had this air around them that screams 'glamorous' With TWICE, what you see is what you get. They laugh with their mouths with open, they tease each other, they go out without makeup and they eat their as much as they want to. ^_^
@hola soy jindora Well, I think that they're one of the healthiest group in kpop. They're not stick thin. 😁😁 I think that's what made them more relatable to everyone especially to teenage girls.. 😁😁
I would say GFriend is the same way. Mamamoo, too.
Twice has 3 members from Japan (MoSaMi) and 1 member from Taiwan (Tzuyu), and Tzuyu's life story is very emotional and very inspiring

My bias is jihyo. She trained since literally she was child. For ten years. She was that child running around playing with her oppas(2pm for example). Sis is also a queennnn in stage presence.

The reason everyone gets Tzuyu's name wrong is that is not her Korean name, but its what they put onscreen/on products/etc. Her name in Korean, if changed to English letters is "Jjeuwi" (Yes, thats a double J). So there's basically no way anyone can get it right when its written Tzuyu (which is pronounced differently) as you'd imagine.

Finally a TWICE reaction
Twice are a very international girl group.
Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung and Dahyun are Korean.
Momo, Sana and Mina are Japanese.
Tzuyu is Taiwanese.
Twice are a group who speak their minds. Whether it’s a fan who accuses them of getting fat when they eat burgers or them giving no fucks and washing their makeup off on Vlive.
Many people don’t know but Twice are a group who love to take creative control over their career. Chaeyoung has designed multiple album covers, Momo and Dahyun have choreographed many of their songs and all the members have helped participate in lyric writing at one point. With Chaeyoung and Jihyo having the most lyrics.
You might actually know a few other idols from the survival show that formed Twice.
Somi- she was an IOI member back in 2016 and just debuted solo with Birthday
Chaeyeon- Member of IZ*ONE
Chaeryoung- Member of Itzy
Jiwon- Member of fromis_9
It’s crazy to think about how different Twice would be had any of the girls mentioned above made it into the group and some didn’t.

You can pronounce Tzuyu's name into different sounds. Either Chewie like how koreans call her name or Tsuwie.

That thing about girl groups being more fake than boy groups is a little ignorant. Girl groups in Kpop have images created by there companies and also women in general in Kpop are reserved which was also made by there company. Boy groups rules are more laid back, while girl groups are forced by there companies to have a certain weight, height, hair, etc. and if they don’t there basically criticized for it. For example, Jihyo from twice was harshly criticized for being too “chubby” when she only weighed a little over 100 lbs back when they first got together. To put it simple you never really hear about a eating disorder from a boy group rather than girl groups where every girl group has at least one. Girl groups are more detailed viewed by the public eye and if they step off of it even just a little some body will see it and make note of it. There many examples of this, like how when girls get into relationship scandals it’s really just the girl who gets insulted or threatened, and even one time a idol named Irene from red velvet was basically criticized for reading a book on feminism by her male audience. So to say there “fake” is ignorant rather more there forced to be that way. One of the few girl groups I think don’t have a “company made” image is a girl group called mamamoo. They’re very fun and outgoing.
There are "fake" girl groups AND boy groups. Depending on what she means by fake. If you mean they all get along and everyone is like they appear then thats not true and is "fake" for show.. Many are like that. I think she means Twice on and off stage or video or we see on vlives etc is pretty much who they are. They are pretty open esp in unguarded moments..

love the vid, but 6:48 was so problematic! 'Fake' groups/people in kpop isn't dependent on gender, it is the company and how much freedom they allow their groups.
I agree. What does authentic even mean. I know many girl groups who just act themselves and don’t fake it and many boy groups who do act fake. It’s not a gender thing.

Seconded. I just binged the series for the first time a couple weeks ago. Even knowing the ultimate fate of all the girls involved, it was still such a heart-wrenching show to watch, and made me appreciate Twice just that much more. Keep in mind, it can be a tearjerker, so prepare the tissues!

If you can find it, I really recommend you watch SIXTEEN! :) It's a really good elimination show because JYP knows how to treat people so there's minimal "drama", and the contestants are all really nice and not toxic to eachother. There are some really rough moments, but there's also really awesome, funny and cool performances you'll never see anywhere else. Plus you'll get to know the members More, and get heart ache for the members who Didn't make it. SIXTEEN is also where Twice formed the strong bond they have now, and some other contestants are in other groups now!
It's definitely 10 - 12 hours well spent!

I agree that not every group in kpop is authentic but I don't agree that it's "less" that way with boy groups. Why would it be a gender thing? I know you like some girl groups, but that honestly sounds like something ignorant boy group stans who hate women say. So yea.. Please consider what you said, is all I'm saying. I don't think you're necessarily a toxic person, but that is straight up a toxic statement.
