My childhood involved hearing Orsillo and Rent call Redsox games. Can't believe the Sox got rid of him. Glad he was well received in SD.
Mark Grant please be a real friend to Don. His former broadcast partner and close friend Jerry Remy just passed away Saturday.

As a Red Sox fan, this video is cringeworthy. Tough to watch. The knock on Orsillo in Boston was, the lack of passion and enthusiasm in his play-by-play calling, especially his homerun call. Kind of blah. But a really nice guy, and he and Jerry Remy were very entertaining to watch. But this guy Mud, was digging in on the very thing that got Don fired. And Don clearly expressed his displeasure, but the guy kept going. Not a huge thing but, uncomfortable to hear, as a fan of the team he got fired from.
They were clearly joking around lol
@@YoRHaTypeANo2 I have no doubt they were joking around. They were joking around about; a characteristic of Don's personality that got him fired from his job. Don no longer has any love for Boston but, I assure you he loved Boston when he was there. Mud was clearly enjoying the joking around. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Don enjoyed it about the same as he enjoys a good root canal. Regardless, your perspective of that video, as a Padres fan, is going to be much different than mine, as Red Sox fan.
Teach em there Don! Mud needs work on play by play. HAHA. Course Don still thinks he can hit .260. So there is that. ⚾
