This is lovely. As a Jew born in Lithuania (now living in America), I would've loved to see this in person. Powerful performance in a gorgeous setting.
Yes, pronunciation is a bit ....not right.. :-) but still pretty good - and most of all CRISP and CLEAR. I really enjoyed that. This is by far one of the best versions you can find on the internet. GREAT JOB!!! I love it!
This is the first cover I've seen of it, and I'm impressed. This rendition is interesting. I respect the pronunciation of the vowels which seem to match today's Ashkenazic Jewish communities. The accents are incredible, and the bass voice is incredible. Bravo!
Actually it's being pronounced-non Ashkenaz: "Im HaShem yivne bayiT" the Tet at the end of bayit is being spoken as a t rather than an s.. If it were Ashkenaz it would be "bayis"
1st line Psalms 127:1 “Nisi Dominus aedificaverit domum, in vanum laboraverunt qui aedificant eam. Nisi Dominus custodierit civitatem, frustra vigilat qui custodit eam”. @@Angelologist Languages like Hebrew and Arabic dont usually write short vowels. We know the consonants of the ancient word for what would be in English the Lord but we don't know the vowels. So there are many theories, one of them is Jehovah, another Yahô'... but the consensus is that it's pronounced Yahweh. We may never know tho.
The one thing I'm not sure of is whether this is a synagogue or a christian church. It looks pretty cool to be honest, with the lights and statues, and it reminds me of a Catholic church
*I think Jews and Christians are brothers in same way, since we all worship the same God, but, the difference between these two Religions is the fact that the Jewish people didn't accept Jesus Christ (Yeshua Hamashiach), as the Messiah, but, the Book of Revelation says that Jesus will save Israel, when the Antichrist, the Man of Sin and the Son of Perdition, attacks Jerusalem, but the Jewish people will worship the Antichrist in Jerusalem in the Third Temple in the first moment, and also the Muslims will worship him too! But, in 2 Thessalonians 2 says that Jesus will destroy the Antichrist with the breath of His mouth, when He comes again, in the end of the Great Tribulation!* 👍

I haven't been able to keep it for a whole day. :o
Also me! I was at the gym and I started singing it randomly.
That one guy is actually beatboxing to it omg 😂 The amazingness of this rose from 10 to 12,5 real quick
wonder if this performance would be more attractive without the beatbox , not saying its bad ,just curious

Though the pronunciation is a mix of Modern Hebrew and Ashkenzi (Hassidic) Hebrew, the execution is flawless and beautiful!

The source of these words is in the book of Tehilim, written by King David, who made psalms to the Creator throughout his life
