I'm surprised you didn't wanna give it a little 2.5% vinegar spray down for a few minutes on the back after the Lodge eraser just to clear away any rust residue left. I just bought the Lodge eraser and think you're right, it's great for tough spots like that.
FYI I restore for an estate sale company that doesn't maintain a climate controlled store. It's heated and cooled only when they are open so rust was a concern. I started wiping the pieces with Dollar Store olive oil cooking spray. It seems to be protecting them and it makes them more noticeable.
I can’t figure out for the life of me why I can’t get my new Lodge set seasoned. Are they made different these days 🤔 I’m going to start all over with them and use lard or would my easybeezy work and bake at 350 degrees for an hours, possibly 3 times. What do you suggest I try after that? This is a great tip! Would have never thought of using eraser. Thank you
