@@pandaandrews6193 it depends how good they want the zenkai for the character. They could either go the most generic route (Tag buff with both colors) or more specific (Tag UNIT tag buff both colors) or just picking one color like the OG zenkai
They are a great unit but they are lacking very small things here and there that make them a bit clunky to run. A little reminiscent of Trunks/Vegeta.
But it kinda makes sense because it’s Goku & Frieza. They aren’t friends so them not working together in sync is a perfect representation of Them as arch enemies
They are definitely better than trunks and vegeta's circumstances tho

Important thing I noticed when using these guys, Goku and Frieza still counter Rising Rush in the middle of a tackle animation. Keep in mind, I was early into the animation when the enemy rushed but I still countered.
Honestly these units don’t even feel broken it feels like an honest and fun anniversary
The kit of gokuza is literally worse than the monkey boys one, this should not be the face of the anniversary.

The fact that this one doesn't have an edge just means it will be irrelevant in 2 months just like the buu boys. Stuff like monke boys and beasthan are still very competitive even today, that makes for a more interesting roster and meta.

Love this unit. A more skill based unit imo where you need to be aware of their kit for certain situations

Goku really needed to draw a card on green card. I’ve had so many situations where I use a goku green card and then my combo ends. You can’t sidestep/chargestep to draw a new card to keep the combo going

The fact that i only fought them three time since the start of the celebration show just how toxic and overwelming the ULTRA units are, there is no reason not to run Rose or Kid Buu instead of Goku and Freeza, and i suspect that it will be the same thing for part 2, with good units but not stronger than Rose and Buu, and then the new Ultra who will invalidate every other unit in the game and will be omnipresent until the next one take his place. They really destroyed the game with the introduction of summonable ULTRA, and the scam banners they are on really show that they only care about money, not the game health.

@@Shiba9870 I'd actually say top 6, with the 4 ultras at top 4 and Jiren very close at t5. I have GoFrieza at 7* and Jiren at 6* and trust me Jiren outperform them every single match he is crazy.

If you wanted to get a blue card for the first match, you should have just used ui revival gokus main ability to get one then switch to gofriza
Honestly this unit is a little underwhelming, they take a ton of damage and don't really deal as much as I would've expected, way I see it Jiren is the star of the banner for sure with his stats just being better and his nuke potential/just being a nearly unbreakable wall

I think one side should have had the blast armor and the other side should have had the switch nullification. This character is heavily reliant on the frieza side. Not to mention their abysmal tanking i dont think this character will last past boost.
I disagree. Their damage is output is extremely good. Blue card hits like a damm fright train. You can run them with a ton of zenkai buffs. Their rush counter is actually ridiculous in a 1v1 and they have a ton of healing that makes up for their trash tanking. A damage dealer unit with a cracked defensive mechanic can't be a strong tank or it'll actually break the game beyond belief. Imagine these two were kid buu level tanky with the rush null, they would be unfathomably busted
They are barely lasting right now lmao. Its buu boys all over again. people hype them up because of a cool new mechanic and god tier animations, then they realize they're actually shit for pvp. Off boost they won't even be useable in Br 50 pvp

I think they are always holding back a bit on every Tag Unit, since the Tag Switch mechanic itself is very good but very skill based. Tag Characters have never been as good as normal LF's I feel like, or to be precise, way less "noob-friendly".
So we arent gonna talk about the blue boys and tagdroids?
They held nothing back on blue boys. Tagdroids I think they fcked up on balancing them, because that long range green card with cover null ended up being way too op. other than that every tag unit has been mediocre/good, but not op

Finally a unit that isn't unga bunga green/blue card spam, this one actually requires skill to use which I'm happy with. In the right hands these two are really good, but can sadly feel a bit mediocre to those who are not skilled with them. They'll likely fall off in the same way as MUI fell off, but hey, at least their LF looks amazing

They do lack compared to other units in the game.. 3 main things I have found not great... there always feels like their combos shut down quicker than other tag units.. they dont draw enough blue cards... like why does ultra rose deserve so many on his green card. And goku should have had blast armour.
Almost feels like a 3rd anniversary ssj4 gogeta but a 2023 version..
Imo biggest problem is that they can't tank, which means you can't take full advantage of their unique gauge because you don't want to be switched in with them when you're getting combed. You can switch in with them right when the enemy rushes but if the enemy has cover null which is really common these days then you don't counter the rush.
If you want Blue cards just run them on LOE. It's what I do and always have a blue 🤷♂️

@El Hermano Mexicano good luck escaping coolers 3 strike card combo, or the massive amount of blues, or the zenkai buffed new unit. i have no idea what you think is busted or not but that triple threat is busted.
Something about ultras must be changed because they are killing this game. Gokuza is good but the ultras wall they built in 2 months with hit, gogeta, kid buu and rose makes every character unplayable confronted to them. Also if they release ul blue vegito ( which most likely will happen) we’ll have to face a god ki with him, rose and gogeta blue. At that point playing will be quite unbearable unless you have that team, making this game’s pvp a huge mirror match with minimum to no choice of picking other teams/ characters. This is why i keep staying at the 10k rank, i don’t even have the drive to go higher cause i know that at top 1k playing is just a huge pain in the ass.

They are definitely very good imo rn. In my experience the ultras are still a whole different breed of broken but these guys imo is contending for the 5th/6th spot with units like beast gohan. But post boost i think they womt really age that well. But as of rn,they are good.
They also can’t tank any combos, mine gets dusted by sp shallot 😅

They feel incredibly strong as a main offensive units. Even at only 4 stars they're still doing great damage. Their combos are very long most of the time and the blue card is no joke the hardest hitting blue in the entire game.
But I think the thing that really makes them cracked and imo top 5 is the rush counter. Hand down the most valuable ability in the entire game. Having the ability to stop your enemy from rushing while you can use your own rush is actually insane.
Overall I feel like they're the first non toxic very dominant unit. I'd put them at number 5 after the 4 ultras and that's amazing cause they are just incredibly annoying ( other than hit who's just a strong af character) while these two are awesome and fun to fight against and use from my experience.

I feel like you could make an argument for them being number 6 and jiren number 5 but I 100% think they're top 6.
Amazing start for this anniversary. Best start ever for q celebration.
Top 6 imo:
1. Ultra rose. F**k this guy. Just annoying beyond belief and has defensive utility he 100% shouldn't have)
2. Ultra hit. Very valuable with the release of jiren now. Crazy high damaging character who pairs insanely well with goku and frieza and the new supporting kyawei( who's top 10 imo. Cracked support and great for gaining priority. Also has the dragon fist like drop ult that hits surprisingly hard).
3. Ultra buu. Screw this guy. Worst designed unit in the history of legends. Fckin cancer. Worse than rose. If hit didn't exist he'd be number 1 for being fckin cancer.
4. UGB. Just crazy. Still as broken as ever. Jiren( tanky af. Can two shot UGB) and goku and frieza( rush defence) make him weaker than he was before but that's not enough to take him out of the top 4.
5. Goku and frieza
6. Jiren
UGB still being top 5 units in the game after 2 yellow releases and a unit that counters his, arguably, strongest ability is actually insane

The problem is that every character is getting reduction to enemies damage cut. In my opinion its getting out of hand because i feel that either it should be on your blues and ults but maybe a little in their kits because every ultra recently is say F your defenses
the reason they can't tank stuff is because in the anime when goku and frieza teamed up it was like a final attack so if this attack failed or they got hit by any attack they would instantly drop out of the tournament so they probably just wanted to make is similar to the anime
Yea these anniversary units has put the nail in the coffin for me. Im only gonna summon for Ultras at this point. There is zero incentive in wasting CCs on these LFs when Kid Buu just turns on ez mode for whoever has him.

18:51 I don't even enjoy playing _as_ Ultra Kid Buu. Wins feel tasteless and toxic. Heck, I even built a ___level 3___ card draw speed Ultra Kid Buu with an extra green card, and I just felt it was potentially way worse than paired Zamasu and Goku Black. Could NOT cover change against it, and not even ki reduction could stop the combo. Only YEL Jiren's nullify AOE green or PUR LF Frieza's on-entry remove enemy buff effects could stop it, I guess....

Been playing pvp lately I got the lf in most matches but only whenever they are attacking not during a combo because they forfeit. But more than few let it accept their fate whenever I do the legendary finish. It's so cool that finish best finish in the game

@@gansdel i meant for rev ui, i like blu tien, on leader slot, he is actually really good, i have him at 6 stars and in some matches with pan users, its either they forgot about tiens rush ability or they are new and just gets carried by their units. i use tiens on androids with pur hell fighter 17 and zenkai f2p android 21 or tag androids

They're wayyyy better than VT and the Buu Duo. They're similar to MUI last year.
Not really since UI last year could control a match with his Gauge and the only unit arguably above him were the LF Androids who formed the infamous RRP team.

I really want to like this unit, but they are missing SOOO many little things that has screwed me on multiple occasion, for example i would love if gokus green gave cover null or atleast 1 card, since everytime i use it i dont get the chance to utilize the double card draw and them not force drawing some cards on tag is also very annoying. Theres also the thing about vanish restore, only frieza gets it and thats only when theres a defeated battle member. (When i think about it Friezas side is SO MUCH better then anything that goku does, frieza gets the cover null, vanish restore, cards on green and blast armor).
