The people who sent him fully knew he wouldn’t survive long enough to get to that vacation and all he can do is be a bystander caught in the middle of stuff no man was ever meant to still be alive to see.

Votv is a comfort game for me for some reason, idk, even with all the horrors I'm still chilling with my tall funny alien cats that throw stuff at me and eat my food.
Imagine arriving at your place of work, the place is a mess and clearly the last guy who did the job went mad but you don't know why, only as the days progress, you now see the reason, the horrors you're subjected to, whether by pure accident or pure malice.
my guess is pure malice. Dr.Bao and the team know much more than they let on, they are expirementing on something other than just signals. They are intentionally sending new recruits to this facility with little training and poor equipment / isolation for months. something is definitely up

Turned the pc off, didnt work. Call me a coward but i panicked and close the game. Its the second time i get scared in ambient mode and i hadnt pass from day 1. The first thing that scared was a very thick fog. I got an error null save pop up and when i tried to pause i couldnt. That time i shitted my pants so i alt+f4 my way out. Jesus i just want to get familiar with the base facility.
i really like the part where the walls are closing in on him in his nightmare here its much faster than the game and the way dr.kel is sitting shows just how bad his mental state has gotten well done

0:25 Kel meets his future wife. The part with the Yellow wisp and how Kel is just standing there implies that Kel at that moment wasn't in a stable state of mind and was about to let the Wisp get him... And someone punched the switch for the garage door to close it.
Probably an Ariral that just stayed behind during the event, must've seen he was going to give himself up but they had enough curiosity or care for Kel so they closed the garage door before anythin could happen. That's what I think at least.
Probably because hes staring down the (objectively) most dangerous entity of the game. It has ambiguous motive? Is he defiant? Or is he suicidal and content to die. Not only that but the garage door is closing, but hes nowhere near the button, did he press it and move? Or did...something decide to lend a hand. Each shot in this is great
Love the detail of Kel giving the Rozitals a salute, since they're one of the only factions in the world that actively help him, intentionally or otherwise.
Funny thing: The only reason why the Rozitals help you is because of the Arirals camping out on site. The warning message? That was for them. The Rozitals and Arirals are allies, or at least the Rozitals are friendly/allies of the particular group that Dr. Kel meets. With the Rozitals, there's two events where they will outright kill you if don't respond correctly. The scouts that get sent in after the initial cleanup the Wisps has occured and the drill event. With the former, they'll kill you if you refuse to look at them when they catch you. I think they kill you if you run from them after they spot you. With the latter, the guards around the drill site will shoot at you until you either die, back off from the area, or fully penetrate the drill site where Igetis is.
I love how Dr.Kel is the kind of character I could see surviving some absolutely mind shattering, earth shaking, absolutely traumatizing events and moments after being like "huh, bit odd en't it?" and then going to bed like it's just another Monday at the office.

I think of my Dr. Kel as a Posadist who was super eager to look for signs of alien life and upon learning that the forest is a paranormal death trap their employers tossed them into, only shakes their first another time at the owner class and carries on with grumbling and spite. Kinda makes sense with how they'd be only emboldened by making contact with Arirals and Rozitals, as well as with how spooky events are met with a mix of curiosity and annoyance after a while, especially when they prevent you from keeping a sleep schedule. For me, at least.
I hope Dr. Kel will at least get a good pay check after all this. Our guy is basically defending Earth from alien made horrors beyond our comprehension and doesn't even complain
jeez the animation, the music, everything is so atmospheric and and made/chosen with soul. movement is soo smooth, ive watched this several times already and do it again. the idea is also so great, i really like imagining how Kel feels and experiences all this, given that he has some kind of will (like words that he is hungry or too tired, or dont want go to sleep cause of his thoughts). every detail and sence is feeling so much like votv and home at the same time, and like Kellin is not just a puppet to players. u did a great job!!
It is actually kind of heartwarming in that case, as the Pyramid is there to ensure Dr Kel's safety by capturing the yellow wisps. It may as well be saying to Kel, "It is going to be okay, little human".
God this animation embodies this entire gameplay loop. Youre not a soldier. Youre just Dr.Kel. You will see things no man was meant to see. Encounter things that may end the planet...The Only thing you have to rely on is your own instincts...and some friends (or enemies) youll never see... Nothing will ever top the Ariral Tower encounter

When you total played in VOTV >5 Days and see that, PERFECT, LEGENDARY. On this video you just can see all character pain and WORK. Most scaring moment with signal "The end is near" IT'S VERY SCARING THING. And i love it for "Starting". Just first steps on job AND THAT LOOKS AMAZING.

I'd imagine this is the last episode's intro The first episode's intro would lack all of the paranormal elements, showing each scene having a more mundane result, examples: 1. 0:00 to 0:23 stays the exact same, nothing paranormal happens. 2. 0:24 to 0:27 either the scene just stays as Kel standing at the top of the tower or he sees a shooting star instead of an Ariral ship 3. 0:27 to 0:29 keep it, no reason to change it since its just a nightmare 4. 0:29 to 0:31 instead of the zero g event, its just Kel sitting bored as he waits for a signal to download 5. 0:31 to 0:35 no End is Near signal, just a generic signal 6. 0:35 to 0:37 just a mundane scene of Kel waking up (optional, alarms arent too paranormal after all) 7. 0:37 to 0:39 another mundane scene of Kel standing on the tower, maybe have him fixing the breakers at the top? 8. 0:39 to 0:40 omit scene entirely, maybe a scene of Kel walking through the area before the Arirals set up? 9. 0:41 to 0:42 no wendigo, generic scene of Kel walking by the door? 10. 0:43 to 0:45 unsure what to change since the scene is pretty focused on the sprite 11. 0:45 to 0:46 kel using the telescope or absentmindedly leaning on the railing VotV could be a killer episodic series, but i doubt it could be done well by a studio (blumhouse could probably knock it out of the park if they tried though)

Yeah, I made it in Blender. The map in the background is just videos I took in-game, since I don't know how to import UE4 maps into Blender.
