I lived in Valdosta on and off between 2005-2008 and full time 2009-2015-I actually fell in love with it there-coming from S. Fla. Work brought me back to S. Fl and I miss it there sometimes, last time I was there was in 2017... though most of my friends I knew there have since moved away
Love your fast paced editing and informative content. Thanks so much for sharing. We’ll have to check out some of those places if we are ever in Valdosta.
Most people who do vlogs about Valdosta (my hometown) overlook some notable people who have, and some who still do, lived here. 1. John “Doc” Holliday (his parents are buried at Sunset Cemetery) 2. Damon Wilson (Lamont from Sanford and Son) 3. Sir John Pierpoint (wrote “Jingle Bells) 3. Sonny Shroyer (most known for playing Deputy Enos Strait in Dukes Of Hazzard) 4. Rhett Akins (County Music singer/songwriter) also father to Thomas Rhett 5. Randall Godfrey (retired NFL player)
Just to name a few notable professional football athletes from Valdosta, Malcolm Mitchell ( superbowl champion), Stan Rome, Randall Godfrey, Telvin Smith, Greg Reid, Kenny Moore, Kenneth Durden, Mike Wakefield, Zakoby McClain, and there are many more. Also Valdsta High School football program has the most wins out of any other school in the country.
I'll be moving back to the states from Japan in 3 months. This is where they're sending me! Thank you for the video. I don't subscribe much but you def earned a subscriber here.
That restaurant you walked by when you showed the pumpkins - that's El Paso, a very good Mexican Restaurant on Ashley St. You should try if next time you're in town if you're into Mexican food.
I loved how you stopped off at Stans quality meats on Hill avenue....the prices and meat there is the best in town....next time you stop through Valdosta you should check out the Crescent House mansion....VSU...Bazempre Hyder stadium (home of the Valdosta Wildcats the winningest high school football team in America... and VSU Blazers) also Wild Adventures ....the historical Museum on Hill avenue downtown among a few other hotspots
Yall should come during high school football season and catch some games. Have to catch some of the community events as well like the azalea city festival.
GO BILLS! Thanks, Randy for checking us out...we have some videos from the Steelers game and I think the Washington game on our channel from last season.
Hi Liliana, thanks for your comment. We are not living in Valdosta...we were just traveling through so I can't answer your question but maybe someone else on our channel can. >>> Stuart
