- Well not the video we wanted to make but fortunately Lorin is totally fine and that's really all that matters! I will have an update video soon showing all the damage and going over some unfortunate news.
This video just showed us how great of a wife you have. Reminds me of my wife. She actually cares how hard you work on your stuff.

WHAT? That was at least 50% her fault. She is in the turning lane FAR too early, and she is riding in it. While that car is also at fault for trying to merge without checking first, she is too for riding in that damned turn lane 20 seconds too early.

You’re a good man chase. I got a suburban that’s jacked up and so does my brother. Big trucks are easy to roll, especially hit from a smaller car at that angle she got hit at. Luckily they were going slow. Also, I never prioritize my vehicle over the safety of someone else that’s driving it. If my girl was driving it and it was her fault they wrecked, I wouldn’t be pissed at her because those things are replaceable. You guys restored my faith in humanity. Bless y’all

Aw. Glad your ok Mrs Lorin. Im sure the Big Boss is ok and its a easy repair. I had an fender bender in my 2021 Silverado RST. Same thing, they hit me but they damaged way more on mine. When they hit me, they did exactly what you thought the other driver did too Chases, scraped and dented the whole side. And thats not it, my truck got hit again while it was at the body shop so I was with out my Silverado for a month and a half for a 2 week repair.
Been in my share of fender benders ( not my fault, of course! Oh, no, not ever ever...) and I HATE the way it feels and sounds. The heart stops and the brain says "oh, no that di-int just happen!" Glad everyone is ok, and the other driver stepped up.
Thank God everyone is okay. And this is exactly why I just invested in a dash cam!!!

This is why I taught myself to left foot brake and hover over the pedal when close to other cars and have rv Blindspot mirrors on custom mounts because I sprained my neck/shoulder, couldn't shoulder check, but still needed to drive. It's also come in handy for the motorcycles that like to pass me in the same lane I'm in despite lane splitting being illegal where I'm at. 100% not her fault though, I just like preventing accidents even when I'm not at fault because I don't want to deal with it if I can avoid it

Girl I know how you feel! I have the 2020 Silverado RST. Someone hit my truck while I was at work and took out my bumper!!! I about died! My insurance paid for it but omg I was mad! I put a vantrue camera in it with 24/7 parking after that. Never again!!!! Take care sweetheart, I am glad you are safe and your truck wasn't entirely destroyed.

I feel your pain just bought me a new 2021 Sierra crew cab and just got fixing it up the way I wanted and I’m sitting in stopped traffic with my 6yr daughter and BAM rear friggin ended. The way I look at it is it could have been worse I can always buy a truck but that will never amount to anything happening to my daughter. Now I have to do this dance with the person at faults insurance company.

Honestly surprised how little damage there was. I was expecting the whole side of the truck to be scraped up and dented. That stuff definitely sucks! I recently clipped a deer and it split my front bumper, buckled my fender and busted out my headlights. It makes you cry a little internally 😂

This was easily preventable if she was paying attention to her surroundings instead of the camera. Yes its not her fault. But she also didnt saw that car coming in her lane, i dont know if the dash cam location is such that you can see the car in the video, and if she is sitting far away, but here is something someone once told me about driving, and 25+ years of driving, not even a single fender bender. ..... '' always anticipate while driving, specially on signals, even if its green, slow down and anticipate someone can come from other side, if a car next to you has blinkers on, again anticipate they can come in ur lane, specially if they are not paying attention. i really felt bad when those tears rolled out though.

Property can always be replaced not life . 3 sides to the story 2 points of view and the dash cam which show that your wife was established in the left turning lane prior to the accident. Hopefully the police officers looked at the incident and wrote the report accordingly.

God was with this family that day and chase didn't get a call saying that Lorin has been in a really bad car accident and is in critical condition or even getting a call saying that Lorin has been killed in a car accident so let us be grateful for that.

An old man once turned me loose in his prize position. I kept saying no but he insisted. He said “ Son, it’s just rubber and metal, it can be replaced”. So anytime my girl gets in a fender bender I remind myself of that.

In Virginia my dad got a ticket along with the driver that hit him at an intersection because both involved in the wreck decided to go to a fast food joint down the road a half a mile to exchange information. The ticket my dad got was fleeing the scene of an accident.....the other party got two tickets....one was fleeing the scene of an accident and the other was failure to maintain proper control of vehicle.
The reason why the officer decided to give both a ticket for fleeing.....according to the officer.....is because the investigation from the state wasn't based off of visual evidence and was based on the two views of those involved. Two people can see the same thing and their story can have the same outcome but the details getting to the outcome are almost always different. The officer also said just because the other party admitted guilt doesn't help a stretch of road where wrecks are at a higher rate and the state is researching why and what to do about it.
So see what the states you travel wants to be done by those in wrecks on their roadways. Virginia wants you to stay put and Tennessee wants you to move off to the side of the road if possible and safe.

it really is a good thing the damage was just a dent on the fender. and with the dent of that size, a temporary fix would be able to pull the dent back out with some sort of dent puller
I miss driving my v8 everyday. I bought a Toyota Corolla to save on gas, but there’s nothing like a v8 for just pure fun, and good sounds. But that being said, the 4 cylinder is doing its job at 29 mpgs in the city, also so glad the damage was minimal. What a blessing! So glad the lady was nice about it. Some people would’ve just drove off, or acted like a whitch!
