    Apologies to those who are waiting for pancreatitis and PEs. Those videos weren't quite ready yet, but I wanted to start posting again and this one was ready to go first.

    Hi Dr. Eric. You are really a role model for me and I cannot thank you enough for these EKG videos. I just wonder if you can recommend me a reliable source on how to distinguish VT from SVT with aberrancy. This topic is very confusing and since you do not have a video about it yet I will be very thankful if you can advice me.

    Could "Ventricular Parasystole" be quite dangerous as eventually by coincidence the trigger depolarization could occur at the critical time in repolarization from the previous ventricular depolarization creating an "R on T" phenomenon ?

    Hello Dr. Eric. I'm a great fan of your lectures. I've a doubt regarding the ecg on TCA overdose. I couldn't find any P waves on leads II and V1, rather T wave inversion in V1 and rather a wave after qrs complex in others leads viz II , V3-V4 ? P wave. You have mentioned it as sinus tachy.Why can't it be a junctional rhythm ?

    • @StrongMed
      @StrongMed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment! You make an excellent point about the lack of visible P waves in the example of TCA overdose, raising the possibility of this being an accelerated junctional rhythm. The combination of the fact that TCA overdose is associated with sinus tach, sinus tach is far more common than accelerated junctional rhythms, and the presence of extreme QT prolongation make it most likely that this is indeed sinus tach with the P waves buried within the T wave - but one cannot conclude that with certainty from the ECG that's shown. So in a real world situation, it would be best to label this an unidentified, regular, wide-complex rhythm.

      @@StrongMed Thanks for the response. Kindly consider posting a video on VT and how to differentiate it from SVT with aberrancy. I've looked into multiple sources but have been left confused.

    Could you do a follow up video about the research results from your co-workers' Covid-19 studies?

      I certainly plan to, but I can't discuss any results until they are publicly released. Hopefully there will be enough for an update video later this summer.

      @@StrongMedDear Dr. Strong Thank you for the reply! Happy to know there will be other videos to look forward to! One last question, I don't know if this is appropriate, I would like to ask if there are available teaching slides for videos of this series. It's totally ok if there are some problems associated with copyright. Thanks in advance.

      Sorry, I didn't see this additional comment until just now! No, unfortunately I don't make my PPT slides available - I've encountered far too many cases of people plagiarizing them (including professors!)

    Will be there any videos about pacemakers? And if not, what do you recommend (books, websites etc) for this subject in particular? Thanks for the good work Dr. Strong.

    • @StrongMed
      @StrongMed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pacemakers are definitely on my list of topics to cover in the next year (both a general overview video, and one specifically on ECG manifestations of pacemakers and their complications), but I can't give a more specific estimate of when they might get posted. In the meantime, there was a great overview in JACC from a few years ago: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S073510971637067X?via%3Dihub
