Outstanding! I first went to Victoria & Albert's in 1989 and it --along with the long gone Empress Room-- started my transition from a picky eater to an unabashed foodie. I am so happy you tried new things and enjoyed them.
The Empress Room was a smaller, more intimate, high-end restaurant that served the same caliber of food as Victoria & Albert’s. It had more of a private club feel than V&A and you never would have guessed you were on the Empress Lily in the Disney Shopping Village. The Empress Room was the first WDW restaurant where I had a meal that exceeded $100 per person before tax and tip. That was difficult to accomplish without alcohol in 1989.

We went to Victoria and Albert's during our honeymoon and it was amazing. I loved how they did the tea with the vacuum (same thing with your coffee only it was tea leaves), and the food! THE FOOD! Still some of the best food and service I've had a theme park. Definitely a great experience if you have the wiggle room or occasion for it. So cool that you got to film it!

My husband and I went there on our Disneymoon and Disney surprised us with an upgrade to the Victoria room when we arrived! A year later, and I'm still finding myself telling people about that dinner. I hope to take my parents one day!
I like how the restaurant is not Disneyish, if that makes sense even though it is in Disney World. It's a chance for people to have an elegant dinner while on vacation, without having to leave the resort. Although you get a tiny hint of Disney with the music being played.
So nice of you to bring your mom and stepdad to such a lovely dinner! I loved experiencing Victoria & Alberts (quite possibly the closest I’ll get to this dining experience).
Thank you, I was lucky enough to worked a culinary arts internships at V&A in the summer of 95. I miss being a cast member at Disney world. Cost of meal then was $120.00 per plate not inducing wine or gratuity.
