I've been using the ixs trail evo for the past year, didn't have a crash worthy to test if it offers good protection but in terms of ventilation, weight, usability and fitment i am very pleased. I'm thinking of adding a poc kortal in my closet, if only it costs a little less i would already be wearing it. Btw, always have two helmets in your closet in case one gets damaged and you are still able to ride. Don't postpone your next ride

Giro Fixture. I like it personally over Fox Speedframe and Giro Source and Specialized Tactic. Its just so light and comfy and has MIPS too at a bargain price. Never used one of the others again.

Be careful! Your helmet won't perform like it would have 10 years ago. You can't see the degradation or hairline fractures. Time to get a new one mate

@LakesLee I'm not sure, some manufacturers say it's the outer shell that might be damaged by uv rays and become brittle. I didn't really want to retire my Poc helmet that fits me awesome but thought if I had an accident and my 10 year old helmet failed, I'd be regretting the advice to get a new one. My friend just got a tbi and is learning to walk again, I just didn't want to risk it. Do your own research and decide yourself. Maybe it will be okay in a crash but maybe not. Just a risk I wasn't prepared to take for 80 bucks for a new lid
