Watching this out of nostalgia. I remember this so well. The craic in Thurles was off the scale. Dublin and kerry fans kicking balls around and sinking pints it was magic. Jesus when will we be able to do that again 😕
Moynihan was the best player I have ever played against, on his day he was unmarkable. Vision and go forward - heads up football. The balance... you could try shoulder him and he could go right over, but only one of us would be coming back upright. He could just make a holy show of you! I feel less bad tho watching this. Outrageous talent that will never get the credit he deserves.
not sure if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can stream all the new series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my gf these days =)
Looking at this for nostalgia sake just makes me think how inept Dublin were in the first half, throwing away at least 2-6. The forward line were poor in fairness, no disrespect to Kerry who would win more All-Irelands later on in the decade. Galway that year however, were the best in the country, but unfortunately for the Dubs there would be more near misses in the ensuing years
That Dublin team were the complete opposite of the current one, a huge opportunity to win was blown because they got swept up by the atmosphere, they had possession after going ahead yet chose to keep charging forward. Great occasion though, atmospheres like it don’t exist today (in any sport)
So if you're in an arnotts shirt you can bounce the ball as many times as you like on a slow run, the ref, lines men should go to specksavers and have a good look at the rule book
1 hour and 3 minutes is the referee abuse. That would be a minimum 10 game touchline ban in the Premier League. This makes me think the concept of sending the manager to the stands does not exist in Gaelic Football. To think Arsene Wenger got sent to the stands merely for kicking a water bottle in frustration as a result of Arsenal having a last minute equaliser ruled out at Old Trafford
And viney Murphy should have been booked for his first getting too no you b.s when coming on,and then sent off for using the spare ball to make it look like a goal, what a cur

It’s gas to see Jim Gavin look a bit younger on the bench

Unbelievable points by Maurice Fitzgerald from the sideline in my opinion that's how gealic football should be played and not too tactical now days
Couldn't get to the match because of traffic. Watched it in a small bar in a small village
Back when you would watch garlic football

Derry manager had to watch the Ulster final in the stands in 2000 but I can't remember what for
Lawrence O'Leary it does exist
And□balls for the Dublin second goal, and can seemingly bring on as many subs as they want ,what a joke

That first ten minutes was the worst football Ive ever seen.
