I work in retail and as of today I have ran into 6 IPX units that we've sold and have came out of box either just not working or just the display is dead. Apple needs to step up their game. :P
With MILLIONS of iPhones being manufactured by thousands of techs, it is reasonable to assume that some of the total will not be 100% correct. With a small amount of defects, such as, your experience showing up Apple does a great job with correcting the situation with a new, proper replacement. I have the X and love it, and if I had experienced what your video shows I would not have liked it either. But, I also would have recognised the volume manufacturing defect issue potential, and lived with a replacement. After your inconvenience I hope you are now happily enjoying the great features of this phone. Cheers from the UK.
Had a minor defect in mine returned it the next day for a new one and it was flawless. The only thing that was weird is they gave me a gsm only iPhone originally and then an unlocked one as I should have gotten from the iPhone upgrade program.
Do you work in quality control? Basically how it works is you assemble let’s say 10.000 and then you take 3-5 and test them. If those are ok then you can assume the others should be fine as well. If they would do more QA then the phone would be more expensive. It’s very time consuming to do a 100% check

I worked at GM 2015-09/15/2017 (shiftcut layoff) we built 425 cars per shift if there were no problems throughout the day so in total all 3 shifts ( since it’s a 24 hour production line I worked 3rd which was graveyard) they would inspect 5 out of 1275 cars which could take up to 6 hours each.
It seems to be a faulty unit. I had the same issue when I first got the iPhone 7. The water resistance seal is probably void also. You will have to go through the process to replace it. The thing is, it really breaks that excitement of getting a new phone.

Dude, if you don’t like it, return it. If you do like it get it replaced. Nobody that makes anything has every single individual unit come out flawless. This isn’t an iPhone X problem. It’s your specific iPhones problem. Obviously the waterproof adhesive didn’t adhere properly.

I enjoy Apple products as well as Android devices. I have used both platforms on numerous devices throughout the years. This new iPhone seems like way too many compromises and issues to be an upgrade from a previous model year. Glad I went with the S8+ and back to Android from my iPhone 7. I also agree that iOS 11 has been pretty buggy with so many freezes and app crashes on my 7. Apple really needs to put their focus back into their software and hardware instead of rushing things out to beat the competition.
A lot of the bugs that had been coming out were fixed with updates meaning the (buzzing and the green line) all fixed with updates. stop complaining it’s not like it’s with every phone, atleast you got it replaced.

I have had an iPhone X for about 3 years now.. and today when I was looking at it I noticed the screen was bowing out of the frame from the center. I could push down and it would partially go back into the frame. I read online that this could be the result of the battery swelling. I am not sure yet. I don't know how much it would cost to have the battery replaced. mine is also dark grey and has 256GB of memory. I wonder if it is something specific to the higher member phones.. maybe there is very little room and if there is a slight amount of battery swelling it will cause the screen to separate from the frame?
I've seen this on Apple and Samsung phones alike, unfortunately that's an issue with lithium ion batteries. You can help mitigate this by keeping it away from heat & cold, and avoiding damaging the battery cells. Otherwise a replacement / upgrade would be your only options

Now when I go into Apple store (Meatpacking district, NYC) they acted brand new and as if they i was the only person having this issue. Thank god for nosey people, there were two college girls, (pretty hot btw) sitting directly in front of me when the same problem. Long story short, when this came to the attention of the floor supervisor they whisked us away to the back room. I had a very weird feeling that they didn’t want us on the main floor where others had already been walking up to us asking about what we were both talking about. She (supervisor) literally gave us two brand new iPhones X’s with a shit load of extras (phone cases, screen protectors, charging pad, etc) I have been an Apple’ite from the beginning when they had the original tin foil back and paid almost 900$ (500$ for the phone + 400$ deposit, for a new AT&T account) so I’m not knocking them, but that will definitely change if these little bullshit lies keep coming out.
R.E.I. I had a very similar experience at apple in Dallas at the galleria. I milked them and was able to keep my faulty one as well so I’d say people should do this more often 😂 but on a funnier side I should have still shouted out and told the other customers after I was given everything from the active manager
I've had mine since day one with no issues. I guess I'm lucky or the media is blowing these issues out of proportion like always. And I don't see how this would have been a factor during development. You have to bare in mind these devices are MASS manufactured. This is a manufacture defect. The device is made with higher quality parts, yes. But that doesn't mean that the manufacturing portion would be treated with higher tenacity than any other iPhone being manufactured.

I have an iPhone X it has a loose screen like your it keeps on popping on the side but when I accidentally dropped it the screen removed from the frame of the phone so I fixed it I bought a waterproof glue and glued it in the sides using a cotton buds the one you use to clean yours ears I put some glue on the cotton buds and glued the sides and everything was fine it took 1-2 days depending to the amount of glue you put.
I got mine 3 days ago and it works perfect, the only thing I’m kinda worried about is screen burn in but as long as you have True Tone and your brightness to 75% or lower then it won’t be a problem but i do like my brightness high af

tbh i have a 2015 imac and high sierra is fine the only update i had a problem with was 10.12.6 i think i probably said some bullshit but im coding cheats for mac games and i had problems injecting them and i couldnt do anything updating yo high sierra fixed it

I’m experiencing the buzzing sound on the earpiece speaker as well as ghost touch. Happens a lot when I type, the keyboard goes crazy. Also, sometimes swiping from the bottom to go home, doesn’t work. Will Apple replace my device since it is still under the 1 year warranty?
David Figueroa agreed, yes the design isn’t new but it’s been perfected, that’s why I purchased it over the X. 2 things won me over, one being the battery life because it is a 1080p display, and two, I love Touch ID.

Lack of quality control. This should not of gotten thru. Apple is clearly slipping on quality control the last few years.

Turn off touch accommodations under General- accessibility- touch accommodations . Keep it off and it works like magic

Mine works just fine, it’s probably just that urs have some problem with the screen
My iPhone X Battery drains so fast. 6 Hours Airplane Mode and Low Battery Mode 20% less... I pluged it into my computer an opened CoconutBattery: 100% of Design capacity... What can I do?
That happend with mine, after 3 monthes of it being like that the black border between the screen and the side popped out in the corner

I believe your display is not properly pasted and u need to get it replaced asap....
I had the same problem after the launch,I went to Apple and they gave me a new one

i have the phone, and i don't experience this issue... i think it is a product defect, and you might want to return it.
apple didnt mention a few features on the iphone x. Force touch was integrated into the iphone
just because the price is insanely high dosnt mean the quality of the product is, supply and demand have greater influence on price then the quality of the product if you have 1 million phones and 2 million customers ready to pay what ever then the price can be as high as you want
The lockscreen issue you had was due to iOS 11.1 bugs. iOS 11.1.X was the worst ever update in iOS 11 history.
Im not an apple fan by any means, but just because you got a defective unit doesn't mean the build quality of the X itself is bad. In fact its superb. Just return the damn thing lol

tbh i have a 2015 imac and high sierra is fine the only update i had a problem with was 10.12.6 i think i probably said some bullshit but im coding cheats for mac games and i had problems injecting them and i couldnt do anything updating yo high sierra fixed it
They have also been getting roasted left and right and are at the butt end of every joke. I feel kind of bad for them.

Am pretty sure if apple starts 3GS’s update again then this model would work way much more better than these newest iPhone models.
When there is colour issues and burn-in on the pixel 2 xl everyone freaks out but when the iphone x has it its expected.

I had this problem too it was the Pantelope screws were kind a loose I tightened them and it kind of fix the problem
I’m experiencing the buzzing sound on the earpiece speaker as well as ghost touch. Happens a lot when I type, the keyboard goes crazy. Also, sometimes swiping from the bottom to go home, doesn’t work. Will Apple replace my device since it is still under the 1 year warranty?

David Figueroa agreed, yes the design isn’t new but it’s been perfected, that’s why I purchased it over the X. 2 things won me over, one being the battery life because it is a 1080p display, and two, I love Touch ID.

its just like the iphone 7 plus, but more expensive.
8+ becomes too bulky once put into case. Glass back adds too much weight
I received my iPhone X this week, I have been using it for about 3 days and the screen stops working the same way it happened at 3:08 in the video.
It has happened several times, when I'm using email, facebook, youtube and even in the morning when the alarm rang, I could not turn it off until I pressed the right button and unlocked the phone again.

I am experiencing lcd damage. I only noticed it when im trying to unlock my phone and i can see a black dot or like a water inside.

Some Chinese Guy you can watch movies/videos on two perspectives. Full screen. Or normal screen. Like I said the notch does not get in the way in my opinion.
