It's hard to explain to people who weren't around at the time, but the Dreamcast and games like this were 'the' definition of the future. It was such a major leap not just in graphics and sound, but also the concepts of gameplay. Millennium was a great time to be alive!
You don't have to be around at the time to see it. All you have to do is compare to other games that were coming out on the N64 and PS1 to see how big of a jump it was. Age is just a number.
This game is a masterpiece, period. The gameplay, the graphics, the music, everything is really good. I wish I could go back 20 years ago and play it again in my old room with my old couch and a Dreamcast making noise. Life was good.

I took the disc out, cleaned it up, even cleaned it with alcohol, which eventually made it work. So I was playing again and all of a sudden the game froze again. I grabbed my Dreamcast and threw it against the wall which obviously f*cked it up😃 Moral of the story: I never got to finish this game due to this incident 😂 one of my favourite Dreamcast games
I tried uploading a video about this game and the amount of copyright claims I got on the the music was crazy. Now I had to turn off the music all together and add royalty free music. (*It will feature in Dreamcast Classics 4) I know this is an old video but why go after me as I didn't add the music it was on the game. Great video, I got a vga to hdmi upscaler and messed with the colours with Video FX's with Sony Vegas Pro 15 and the footage looks great just non of the classic music that your video features, which takes away alot from my future video.
What’s funny is that I bought the Sega Dreamcast at launch, and a pair of inline skates back in 98 or 99, but never heard of this game until now! LoL. I’ll have to pick this up on EBay. I picked up a Hyperkin HDMI cable for my Dreamcast, and it does look better visually!

mmorpgs sprang up around this time also. WoW was a few years out, but there were others before testing the waters on PC. good times.

The vibes these games had, jgr, taxi, virtual on, those crisp graphics, the music, and the weird but cool controller.

Wish I had a dreamcast growing up. Would have loved to go down with the sinking ship, cause this console seemed so far ahead of it's time.
