ive had my 2021 R1 for 3 years now bought it at 19. ive had a crazy amount of issues from the battery to having to rebuild the whole engine. Have u had any issues yet?
Also i watched ur other video of u leaving the dealership i hope to god that ur bike was broken in before doing what u did on the highway cuz if not you're gonna have some major issues with ur pistons later on

Beautiful bike bro, Do you know if it’s discontinued everywhere or just in the UK? I keep finding conflicting information on it. I didn’t plan on starting on an R1 but it’s always been my dream bike so I’ll definitely have to pick one while you can still get em if that’s true cause I don’t wanna try to buy one from the price gougers when they quit making em. Hopefully my dirt bike experience saves me😂
Only confirmed to be discontinued in Europe due to stricter emission standards rolling in 2025 for new model bikes. Yamaha does not want to blow money into R&D to make a new model R1 that fits those standards. Will still be produced in the U.S. for the foreseeable future until they decide they want to pull it completely, it likely will happen like the r6 where it will only be available in track format no one knows when or if that forsure will happen. There likely will be an R9 to hit showrooms before that happens if it does. Yamaha does not make much of its profits on full blown super sportbikes so it’s hard on them to blow money on R&D to fit emissions standards on a bike that is not their major bread winner. They make money off lower CC and naked because of their practicality. Unfortunate but its just the reality, got myself an r6 just because it was always a dream bike and their prices have been going crazy, found one in good condition and of the model 07-16 model years, always loved the way those looked. When its days are over i will probably transition to nakeds myself, but who knows

Aye congrats. I see it all the time. Buys a dream bike then crashes a few months later. This is why statistics for motorcycle crashes are so high. Get some training in with a smaller bike or the track and you should be good. Best of luck, ride safe and take it easy. The wrist will get you into trouble real fast.

I went to easy bay motorsports when I was shopping for my next bike. Highest fees I've ever seen at a dealership. It ended up being cheaper to buy out of state and buy a plane ticket. To anyone in the bay area looking for a new bike, don't go here, they're scam artists lol.

Most people save it in a bank account then you just go to the bank and get your money in cash so you get a better price at dealer
