However, E3 has also been the site of major ownage, whether it's one company owning another or owning itself so bad that it plays catch-up in the sales for years. Maybe backwards compatibility, but the C E L L P R O C E S S O R is so insanley complicated and more powerful (technically) than the PS4 AND PS4 pro, making backwards compatibility almost impossible.

I'm convinced that in 2013, all of Sony watched Microsoft's presentation, threw everything they were planning to say to the trash and decided to make a new presentation from scratch.
Yeah, i remembered that rumour said both of console will required online connection and microsoft really confirm that. Sony is very smart to take last day in e3 presentation. They probaly took emergency meeting after see bad respond of xbox policy for online connection and restricted used games. Thats why they decided to change that policy in last minute.

I sincerely hope whoever came up with that game, the idea for the presentation, and pretty much everything involving that atrocity was fired and blacklisted.
It was so awkward they even felt too uncomfortable to commentate on it.

that said, Nintendo has been on a hot streak, winning E3 3 years in a row. i mean... can you imagine the size of their balls to say "we have 1 game to show at E3 2016. and thats it." and then they do just that... 1 game. Zelda BOTW. Sony and MS are like "weve got 25 games to show this year!" "weve got 35 to show, itll be rapid fire!" bruh. 1 game. ONE.

I am a happy PS4 user but still i would like to see fierce competition and anouncements of awesome new games. I even want xbox to show something really good. Microsoft started charging their users to pay online, and it was Xbox players own stupidity that made them believe it made online gaming better when it made no difference at all. They bragged about it so Sony and Nintendo thought if there are people so stupid they'll do this why don't we just make everyone do it

You gotta have servers, the electricity to run the servers, a connection to the internet so that the servers can serve clients, people to maintain the servers, backup, et cetra, et cetra, et cetra. And all of that stuff costs money.

Well that may have been one quote that he said "just get an Xbox 360 then" , because I distinctly remember the bs behind *Adam Orth* (boogie2988 made a great video about this) when asked about how can you connect authenticate and download games requiring a broadband connection in rural areas of the United States that its still not available (or is just not fast enough consistently) and his exact responses were "Then move", and "Why would I want to live there?".

I love competition! It makes people strive to innovate and improve things with different visions of how to create an Implement them.
What I hate is when people try to stifle Innovation from happening because of their own shortcomings, like Apple "you're holding it wrong" or "you're taking photos wrong" going on lawsuit spree near the end of Steve Jobs life up to early 2010s (mobile device technology I estimate has been stifled around three years because of their garbage) or what Brandon Greene and Blue Balls are currently attempting.

What are talking about? The “kicking ass, taking names and making games” speech is legendary! And “my body is ready” is still used to describe that feeling of intense anticipation for an upcoming game you barely can wait to play. Reggie is awesome!
The happiest memory I have of E3 is a recent one: 'Shadow of the Colossus' remake in 2017. It was so unexpected and great. It made me cry.

You would think they drop some of their biggest releases on their conference and not at E3 or other conventions. And PS is better at trolling other companies because the other companies pretty much set up the punch line and PS only deliver it.
Yeah, but much like with the 2016 E3 reveals, Sony actually does deliver on their games most of the time, and they're good. Whatever happened to that Pirate game, and that zombie game that XBox players were waiting on for four years.

No one should forget what Microsoft pulled of in E3 2013. Sure, they eventually backtracked but even pulling it off in the first place was a slap at every gamer's face. No used games, always online and various other DRM policies were anti-consumer and exploitative. I liked Xbox 360 more than my PS3 but that Xbox One reveal really shattered my expectations and trust in Microsoft. I hope they never pull something like that in the future and I might actually buy Xbox One's successor.
And Sony planned to do the same before the backlash.

That E3 pitch is what made me decide on PS4 over XBone as a previous XBox 360 owner. I now own both, and love the backwards compatibility of the XBone, but the whole "online only" and "no used games" pitch at the launch for the Xbone/PS4 is what 100% convinced me which console to buy full price back then.

What funny thing is that were rumors PS4 was going to have same problems as X1 or even worse ones. Negative feedback after xbox 1 reveal changed a lot of that. Or at least speculation. Would explain ps4 system day 1 update.

Okay so, i just want to express my feelings amongst other gamers. First of all, i want to make very clear that i love Playstation, i had it since the PS1 came out and never skipped an iteration. So yeah, i'm biased. With that, i'm also a Nintendo fanboy, i don't care being a fanboy because people do like certain things (in this case it's consoles) over the other. Now with that being said, i am openminded and i like to try other things too. Second thing i want to point out is that my English isn't the best but it is also not my native language. So my sentences may not always make sense. Please, if you feel like you understood me wrong at some point in my comment, don't hesitate to ask me about it.
Okay so this comment will be already long enough so this is what i like to say about all of this: Exclusives, yes, it's consumer unfriendly, i get that, but it's also much needed. I think that Playstation has the best exclusives, alongside Nintendo. The reason i say that is because of the games I like to play. Which doesn't mean that applies to everyone. I like for example Zelda and Mario and Donkey Kong games on the Nintendo, while on the Playstation i like games like Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, The Last Of Us, God Of War, and frankly, many many others, Playstation has such a big library that it wouldn't be fair to name every game i like but you can see where i'm going with this.
The Xbox has a couple of games that appeal to me, like Super Lucky's Tale, CupHead, Gears Of War and Forza. Beyond that there isn't much that appeals to me. And yes, you have games like Halo but i have motion sickness when playing first person shooters (sadly enough). Now this isn't MS faults of course. But (hopefully) you can see (understand) that the other consoles have much more interesting games for me. I really would like to buy an X1X, but why? For those 4 to 5 games that appeal to me?
Also it seems that every good exclusive is going to other systems, like in this video mentioned: GTA, Metal Gear and Final fantasy. But also Tomb Raider has gone to the Xbox, and since a couple of months ago, Crash Bandicoot (and likely) Spyro will also go to other systems. Now i know this isn't in Sony's hands as they aren't the publishers of these games, but i think that i could destroy a console very easily if they wouldn't have much other exclusives to offer. In Playstation's case, it's not that big of a deal given the fact that Sony is pushing out so many exclusives. But what if this happened to Xbox? What if i could get Gears of War, cuphead, Super lucky's tale, forza on the Playstation? Boom, my reason for buying an Xbox would drop to 0%.
I really hope that people can see the greater message in this, when Nintendo for example wouldn't offer exclusives like DK, Zelda or Mario, i don't think it would have this success if those games would suddenly be on Xbox or Playstation.
Again, i am biased, i acknowledge that. But i also hope that people understand my reasoning and why exclusives do matter. If they wouldn't matter don't you think that Xbox would be selling better?
Also, remember, i am openminded and i'm willing to give other things a shot, but it has to be worth it.

It’s true though, exclusives sell. And without exclusive characters and series to keep players coming back console generation after console generation, why not move over to PS4 or Switch?
Yeah, i'm happy with both my PS4 and Switch, I even have a Wii U for god sake 😂

I mean first of all, I get that the exchange rate was different a couple years ago, but it wasn't drastic and this type of price exchange will probably continue
But secondly, 349 pounds comes to like 460 dollars and 400 dollars is like 340 euro not also 400
V.A.T sales tax etc.
Prolly has to do with supplying and shipping and ad a tax on top.
