Obviously Pavel is one of a kind, no1 comes close to his skills. But I love Elias as well, he is a living proof that icehockey is still a game of skill, vision and talent.
Elias’s hands in the SHL were so good, if you don’t believe me search up Elias Pettersson “the Ankle Breaker” or something along those lines. But I agree, Datsyuk is one of a kind.
I always thought Elias reminded me of another #40, Zetterberg, but to combine the EuroTwins??? Awesome work!! Datsyuk my fave player ever, Elias is my favorite today!
A lot of people here seem to forget the reason Datsyuk looks so good is because no one else could do what he did but now that pretty much every young player has grown up watching with his and Crosbys highlights there all able to do similar stuff put Datsuyk in todays NHL or Pettersson back in Datsuyks and you will see how comparable they are Datsuyk was ahead of his time but players are catching up.
Nice vid! Datsyk and Petey are an interesting comparison. I'd say for the time being, Datsyk was pretty poised as far as getting frustrated goes. Maybe just me, but I feel like Vancouver needs a break from the clean-cut Lindens and saintly Sedins, with all their composure and overtly kind nature. I'm old bitter and angry we don't have a cup, and I get happy when I see players on the squad angry about it too. Put some real talent behind that anger and harness it. Let's see what happens if someone punches Petey in the face during a playoff run. In the least, there's the big difference between Pete and the Twins. But Datsyk/Petey skill comparison? I'm going with Petey. But only because he's in his first few years and already has the highlight reel of a sizzled veteran. A couple really nice edits I see in there :) Can't wait to see more!
