I didn't recognize D-bignerz without his blindfold on! You two are truly inspirational players. This guitarist will be playing a lot more keyboards this coming year thanks to you. Cheers gents!
As someone who could still be classified as a beginner at piano, I don't even know where to begin to start to learn the piano in the way these gents play. I do know that 2020 is going to see more time behind the keys. And learning to read music again.
I think it's B - F# - G - A - D - G - A - D So G+2+5 on B+5. Or G major 7 add 9 with the B and F# in the bass. But I can't always hear the F#. Sounds great in Dan's progressions. I'm not much of a pianist and can't switch chords anywhere near as well.
Agree with comment below, its a bit rushed this one, and I couldn't really be 100% sure what was being played. But having sat at the Piano its essentially G/B but with an F# as the lowest note. So in LH F# A B (or possibly no A) and in the RH D G B D. In fact its an inverted maj7 chord with the maj7 in the bass. I'm sure Jack will clarify. Question is, when would you use it?
I agree - Something like that. The "expensive" usually is the "colors" (extensions of a triad or 7th chord). Inversion is usually used within the context of a musical line, or in this video...melody line in R.H. top line, usually played by ring and pinky finger. I am also still learning, but for an easier version, I just do a normal triad add2, then "drop-2" the chord. This is basic and can be built into 7th chords with extensions for a jazzier style.
It's bugging me now lol I know Bingerz says F# but there's no way I hear that note in chord quality. See above comment I'm sure it's just an inversion of G/B + 9

learn the concept of functional harmony. That's where I would start!
Similar idea the "David Foster" Maj sound 3rd in bass + 9th. For Bingerz G: B,G,A,D,G
Pure gold!
Bingz! I love your playing.
MORE PLEASE!
Thank you for doing an expensive chord on the key of G..can you please do more on the key of G
Nice work! Can you share the exact notes you play in the chord? Love watching your videos!
Yes please as well.
Another bloomin' gem. More please Jack. Where's No.5 (- 10)?
I love this! Thanks for sharing. A birds eye view would help… we can’t see where every finger goes. Thanks
Little hard to follow this one...could you spell the chord out please?
Simon Hoban i think it’s something like B-F#-G-A-D-G-D. I could be wrong though
I think it's B - F# - G - A - D - G - A - D

Fantastic. Even though I’m not really a reader, it would be nice to have the chord spelled out.
Interesting, I always thought about this chord as IMaj9/III.
In the key of C major:
CMaj9/E
In the key of G major:
GMaj9/B
sexy sexy sexy chord

FAZZ Pretty sure it’s:
LH: B F# G A RH: D G A D
I think I prefer to lose the A from left hand and lose G from right hand. Really nice though.
@@mcrawfs if you like sparse voicings a great (Kenny Baron) one is 1-5-9-3-7-11 so in this case B,F#,C# + D,A,E
@@mcrawfs Yeah looks like it, sounds like it.
