OMG my best friend says that to me all the time 😂 This really doesn't bother me, I love making 2D figures. I would hate making flowers or 3D figures all day though, so I understand what you mean!
Because of you ive made my kids birthday cakes for the past 2 years. I have 5 kids. 10, 9, 4, and 2 year old twins! So lots of cakes lol. Each time, i learn from mistakes and it becomes more and more fun. And they love that i can make what they want! So thank you for teaching me everything! You're amazing! ❤
Melony! This is wonderful! And extra special since it's coming from you. My mom used to make my cakes when I was little and those are my favorite pictures from my childhood! 💜
This is such a beautiful cake! Could you do a video on coloring your buttercream and fondant? How you get deep saturated colors and achieve more difficult colors by mixing?
I love this cake. My oven has always cooked uneven. So, I used your hack of putting sheet pans on the bottom rack of the oven and my cakes are baking up so much better. Thanks for the tip.
Yayyyy!! It's nice to know that it still works for some people! And it's nice because, in the event that you overfill the pans, it drips onto the sheets and doesn't ruin your oven LOL
This week I am making a Belle/Beauty and the Beast cake and I am incorporating your buttercream recipe and your fondant recipe. I want to say thank you. Without your videos teaching us skills, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish this cake for my daughter.
I love this cake!!! Living in such a rural (lol) area this design would sell well here. I might need to try this one out. I love how you incorporate farm decor like the gingham pattern into the border. Well done 👍🏻
Awesome ! Like always. Your business should be called “Absolute Perfection” well spend the money for a work of art like this. Congrats !🎊Love u vídeos 🙏🏻💖
I love this cake. it's beautiful. And oh my gosh, you are so so talented and so patient. I have a question the pictures that you use to trace on to the fondant is that regular paper with regular ink or is all of that edible paper and ink?
Amazing ❤❤ job i definitely have to start practicing 2D pictures i usually get the cookie cutters from JB cookies to do things like that so that means I have A WHOLE LOT OF COOKIE CUTTERS SMH but like always you do a awesome job!!!
Thanks girl! The cookie cutters are good, but you're limited to only doing those designs. And, also, they can get expensive if you buy a lot of them and they take up a lot of space in storage! There's more variety if you print and trace the pics. You got this!
I’ve only worked with fondant one time over 10 years ago. Are you able to reuse fondant leftovers? Do you buy pre-colored fondant or color it yourself?
I only make marshmallow fondant and color it myself. Marshmallow fondant is easier to work with because it sets harder with the addition of the Tylose powder. Store bought fondant is too soft (in my opinion) and I just don't like to work with it. I reuse the fondant until it's too hard. I store leftovers in a ziplock bag and put that in an airtight container.
How long does it take you to color the fondant? How do you know how much to color in each color? Thats the part i always hate! Especially so many shades of the same color
I just know from doing it for so many years! LOL I usually start off with a little bit and mix that in, then add more if needed. You can always add more color, you can't remove it once it's in there!
Yes! However, it all depends on the customer's budget and the aesthetic they are going for. Fondant decorations (most of the time) look more professional. I do frequently do a mixture of edible images and fondant, but again, it's up to the customer! I usually quote a few different options (edible images, edible images and fondant, or all fondant) and they choose which one they prefer.
Omg 😳 I am in❤ with this farm theme cake design, it’s beyond cuteness!!! huuuuunnnnntie when you started making the pattern 😂why I thought about the Minecraft pattern from he🏒🏒 lol…

Hi madam which turn table u are using can u give buying link for the same... I'm looking for low Hight turn table
Hi Smita! I got that turntable on ebay like 20 years ago, so unfortunately I don't have a link to this one. 😢
OMG, Girl, I make 3D cookie cutters, let me send you some! If I had to cut those letters out, id be on the floor lol...so cute though!!

Awesome cake! Do you ever find some decorations slowly sliding down the cake when you use piping gel? That happened to me 😅
Thank you! That’s why I anchor them with the toothpicks (I show that in the video when I’m putting the animals on the cake.)
Gotcha! I meant for the little things like the letters
جميلة 👏❤️
شكرًا لك! 🙏

How many days before did you make the fondant animals ?
I don't remember, probably 1 day in advance!
Wait I think you got a new exacto knife ! It looks different. I can't remember what it used to look like but I notice a change lol
I did! LOL
I got this one on Amazon: amzn.to/43aldvH
It is a little heavier than my other one, so I'm trying to get used to it!
Could you do a super mario cake pls 🙏
Fantastic - the decorating is so time consuming. I don’t think people realise this. X
A lot of people don't understand what it takes to make a custom cake until they try it themselves!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wouldn't a edible print icing sheet be easier that cutting and placing all those tiny squares.
Yes! However, it all depends on the customer's budget and the aesthetic they are going for. Fondant decorations (most of the time) look more professional. For all that work I was telling myself I hope she charged at least $600…great price for an awesome cake.
Thank you love! 😊💜
