BLACK PRINCE

This is the ACE model of the 9 F that was saved by the late David Shepherd. For some years it was based on the East Somerset Railway, where I served as a Volunteer Gard and Movement supervisor. The movement Supervisor was literally in charge of the whole operation during the Public days. and I always took the opportunity to ride on the footplate of whatever loco was rostered. It was a part of my brief to inspect the modus operandi and the state of the whole line. here she is on a heavy freight.
