Cheers James. I had a sneaky wee second watch of your video and noted that you had used a different route. Probably not much in it as far as distance and difficult goes but what a great mountain to walk in winter time! Pretty spectacular up at the summit. I was going to try and imitate your standing on that stone pillar but it wasnt to be! Couldn't even see it. Cheers again mate. Paul

Scotland with trees doesn't look all that different from New Hampshire, but then you clear out of the trees and it's definitely looking like Scotland. I'd be worried about a bit of exposure out there if the wind picks up, but I'm a bit bitter this winter with all the extreme weather we've been getting. Looks like you guys got the perfect bluebird day for it though! Smashing wee walk Paul, almost looks like another planet with all the white stuff laid down. Once you guys got to elevation, my goodness. what views. Views for days! And a bit of wind. I could just about feel it. You looked like you were feeling the chill by the 15th minute, bit of pink aboot the face.
I'm glad we were able to join you for this one Paul. Has me missing the wild times out there something fierce. I hope we get a break in the weather soon.
Yay! I have to say I have been missing you guys! Even some of my family members have been asking for you....firstly it's so good to see your comment and my day will be lighter for it....
It's one of the few places in Scotland JR were we are actively trying to bring the natural caledonian forest back so these wooded areas are more common. Tbe exposure on top of the hill was wickedly cold. After a very short period flying the drone and taking some photos my hands were really sore and we had to head down.
It's such a vast space and I hope the drone shots give a feel of the remoteness and scale of the cairngorms and with the snow it's just something else. The weather here over the last few weeks has been bad.....very windy and extremely wet so I have been staying mostly local. Hopefully it improves now for both of us! Anyway happy to here from you and give my best to the family. Orra best! Paul
Pure dead magic by the way. 😎👌 Some stunning drone footage likesay. It's a fine Hill for winter. Done it a few years ago. Weather forecast was awful, but thankfully it turned oot sunny up top. 😎
Cheers Kev. The drone is great fun but I am still learning and a wee bit nervous flying it at the top. Hopefully the practice will help and I can get better with time. @@PAADVENTURES1 when I saw the start of the video I thought that was you skiing. How many times did you say beautiful, gorgeous, amazing? 😁 it did look amazing. It's so quite up there, very tranquil and calming. The drone footage really adds an extra dimension to your videos now.
Your inspiring me to get out a bit more, I drove down to the Malvern Hills yesterday and did the end to end trail. Great walk and the sun was out. I'll send you some photos. Cheers Andy

That was incredibly beautiful, Paul! The fresh snow sparking in the sun, and drifting on top. And deep a few times...LOL, do you call it "post-holing" too, when your leg disappears into the snow? Really loved the drone shots, and how you used them, sprinkled throughout the video. This video was so enjoyable to watch!

Yeah we had a cracking day on that hill with almost perfect winter conditions! Funny enough that was two years ago this Saturday! Hopefully you get similar conditions but from what I have seen there seems to be less snow??

Great stuff Paul. Top video mate. Actually got this one planned for mid March. Heading north so do this with overnight in Aviemore and Meall Chuaich probably the next day. Looks a cracking walk up through the forest. Hope I get a good few days for it and drone up! I await Franks vid for this one well! All the best 👍
It's a brilliant wee walk Andrew. Without the snow and on a good day it's as straightforward as they come. The views are amazing though and looking down onto the loch is spectacular. That looked some river crossing in your wee clip of the camp , did that just happen overnight with snow melt ?
I'm like a pack horse Stevie! The drone is very light but that wee bum bag is great for keeping everything together and easily accessible. Yeah, we actually walked across that earlier in the day! It was barely upto my ankles in the morning and well over 4 feet deep the following morning. Took my flask walking yesterday and left it in the can! Doh! Had my hot chocolate when I came back! My 116th Munro done. Getting there. Cheers Stevie
