- I made this video simply as a huge fan of Sabaton. Nothing will ever beat the original but I've always thought this would be a fun one to cover. This was definitely a challenging project for me. I especially struggled with the vocals and I now have even more respect for Joakim Brodén and what he does!
I used MIDI drums but the rest was all recorded by myself. Video shot entirely on Sony A7Rii and 20mm 1.8 Lens.
I hope you enjoyed my attempt at this. I really want to improve so I appreciate any constructive feedback! Thanks for watching! :)

Nice cover, Man! It seems to me that Sabaton essentially write folk music in a metal style anyway, so your interpretation fits perfectly.

Took me about 2 hours to gain the confidence that this would work, and to listen to it. But it did, even without the thundering rollling R's and bass drums to follow you pulled it off. Kudos and keep on enjoying and covering the band we all love.

Brilliant job! I hope there will be more Sabaton covers. The rich storytelling in their lyrics lends itself perfectly to the acoustic/folk style. To Hell and Back and 82nd All the Way might be particularly good fits, due to the rural American roots of both heroes. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. I can see how this would be a very tricky song to sing, but you nailed it, imo. Good guitar work too!
